I don't like Queen. Never have.

Surprising really cos' I like loads of different stuff. When i'm a bit melancholy (or pissed), I like Dylan. Lennon, protest songs etc. I also love Beatles, Motown/Soul, early Rod Stewart, Sex Pistols, Stranglers, Clash, Madness, Oasis, Blur, . I also have fond memories of Abba's Dancing Queen but that's more to do with getting ones filthy way at Butlins Filey. But Queen, (apart from Bohemian Rhapsody), and Status Quo, are *****.

Sort ya life out!

I fear its too late!

Never!

I was once a spectator to a great debate about the impact of Queen and The Pixies on music culture in modern times, and which band had more influence.

Completely pointless but that's part of why I love music. It's like being a Derby fan, you don't just watch the games do you. Do you?

Queen are, or were, amazing. They'll never be another one like Freddy, nobody to match his stage presense, dominance and showmanship. He was brilliant at what he did, with an unmistakably unique voice. Hard to believe he's been gone almost 21 years. I was 6 days old when he died. Sad time for me, knew him well.

Really like Jake Bugg. Don't care if people think he's boring, his music has been done before and his video isn't creative. If it sounds good I listen to it. He's coming to Preston in Feb and I'll most likely go and see him, although probs for free. I had been worried that he supported Forest so that is a relief.

Is that where he's from? Fair enough! He's done a film based in Sneinton called 'Small Time' which has characters like the video for 'Two Fingers'. I guess I figured he came from around there. Mind you, he's done short films based in Matlock, was that where 'Deadman's Shoes' was filmed?

Hopefully all this has distracted from how poor 'Two Fingers' is.

He lives over Notts now and has his Film company based there. Born and bred in Utch though! Most of his films have been shot round Derbyshire/Notts.

This was my favourite and EXACTLY what football is or should be about! Few Derby shirts anorl...

He sounds like a fooking idiot when he 'sings', doesn't even write his own music and is incredibly ugly.

I think I'd rather listen to the sound of pensioners shagging.

Does he not? It's not my usual listening but I was given the album and I suprisingly really like it.

I dunno if that would be any better? I mean, it'd sound like Ray Mears trying to start a fire.

Sorry to disagree with you Ladyram, but I think Queen were massively overrated. In fact, their rather dull tunes were saved by FM's brilliance. They were better in the early years when Seven seas of rye and the like showed a bit more passion.
