I think it's that young foreign defensive midfielder Clough religiously brought on for the last five minutes, even when we were behind. I can't remember his name though.
Edit - Valentin Gjokai (spelling is almost certainly wrong)
think it's L at end of surname, but good guess. Looked better than Keogh in pre-season friendly at Mansfield but never got a look in after that. Clearly wasn't up to the required level given his career path.

Hoping this doesn't break forum rules - I know I've been here a long time, but if any mods want to tell me off, so be it.
I have a spare standing ticket for Foals at the NIA on Saturday - not looking for any money for it as it was a gift, so if anyone can make use of it, I'll be happy, drop me a message.
I'm at the gig, let me see. @Bilbo ?/

sorry if offensive, but I am one of those who has always found Dr Who pretty rubbish. Even when a youngster.

does this mean we will have finally paid off Ravanelli and John Gregory?

Nope, Technical Director, Sporting Director and DOF are pretty much the same thing bar a few things here and there. What they all have in common is heading up recruitment. I just feel that since our history concerning recruitment has been dire for a while, maybe sometime in the future this system could be the way to go. It has worked well for others, I don't see why it couldn't for us.
Ok. All I’ll say is we had a DoF …. Twice!
Murdo MacKay and Chris Evans.

Southampton, Norwich, Brentford, Liverpool, Brighton, Crewe.... Shall I go on? Or is that enough for you? The DoF system does and can work in english football, it's a shame that you seem to narrow minded to see that and dismiss that particular setup based purely on it "does not work in the english game".
Are you confusing Technical Director with DOF?

Okay I’m sure if it’s workable in the majority of cases in English football, you can name all the successes in ENGLISH FOOTBALL. ?

That, my friend, is absolute nonsense.
what did he try to avoid paying prior to COVID/Shutdown?

aka findings any loophole possible to try and fiddle the books and avoid paying what he owed.
the loopholes were actually to put more money into the club, or perhaps hide losses/overspend (whichever way you look at it). Mel, up until dumping the club, had never tried to avoid paying what he owed.

Time to abandon the Collymore song.
its childish, pathetic and immature. I cringe any time i hear it and ultimately he’s not relevant. Breaking his leg against us was 20years ago. What the hell is a banker’s hat anyway.

Once Mel knew he needed more capital for Derby than he was prepared to commit, why didn't he seek out a new owner instead of running his play thing into the ground with huge debt.
Why did he bother staying on as owner.
er.......................... did you miss the Gabay, Fake Sheikh, and the shady Spaniard who had no money?

I hope Mel realises his delusions have ruined a city’s dreams and mood. He took something that was full of feelgood promise and got too involved, thinking he knew better than anyone else. I’ve no doubt his intentions were good, he backed the bad decisions’ bad decisions. Instead of winding his neck in and allowing his plans to bare fruit, he got too involved too often.
a lifetime as a success has now been tainted and his reputation is in tatters. He’s not going to be nominated for a stand being named after him any time soon and his legacy deserves to be better than what he’s leaving!

Did it air the John Lydon interview where he outs him?
No mention. Nor a mention of David Icke who outed him in a book 12 years earlier than his death. However theres a clip of him sitting next to Icke whilst sleazily trying to pull Selina Scott and Icke is recoiling away. This is apparently a nod to Icke.
