Some folk must have found a way to beat the system. I can’t believe 65 people in the 10+ category waited until this morning to get their ticket when there were only 67 left.😏

Yes I have wondered about that, if you are able to buy tickets but have already got yours, you can select and hold tickets for 45 minutes if you have friends or family registered to your account.

Maybe they'll be safe by then, won't need to worry about losing an element of home advantage and therefore be happy to give us more in order to boost their bank balance. Here's hoping.

Alternatively you could open an account and become a home fan, 😉 just tried it successfully.

It really is though. An open goal for us to get up . No Ipswich , Plymouth or Shef W in our league this season . Portsmouth finished 8th last season and are running away with it . Barnsley worry me as they finished 4 th last season . The team that finishes above them will get automatic.

So if the league is that weak this season, shouldn’t the team that finished fourth last season, Barnsley, be running away with it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Any ideas on allocations for Pompey and Wycombe?

    Around 2,000 for both.

For anyone hoping to get to any or all of our last three home matches I have had a look at our likely allocations.

Away fans sites are not always ( never) up to date so looking at our allocations last season plus what other clubs have had this season this is my conclusion.

    Portsmouth 2,000.

Recent improvement to the stand has resulted in a larger allocation than last season, Reading recently had a full allocation of 2,000.

    Wycombe 1,850.
This was our allocation last season plus Oxford recently had an away attendance of 1,752.

They do however have a very nice car park.

    Cambridge 1,473.

This was our allocation last season and Peterborough recently had an away following of 1,473.

There was a lot of discussion last season that they could have given us more instead of leaving a large area of their stand empty, whether that changes this season who knows, maybe they don’t need the money.

Obviously this is just my conclusion and is not set in stone.

It does state this on the Northampton site

    Derby County
Match Sponsor A M Waters Please note this is an International weekend, so there's a possibility the game may get postponed.

Yes I did post this on Wednesday, but looking at their squad it’s unlikely they will have enough internationals to get the game called off and the fact that it’s not even mentioned on our site suggests we won’t have enough call ups either.

    No guarantees though.

Here’s my problem with Warne, I think I’ve put my finger on it.

Do you remember the good-ol-days when there used to be the ‘Happy Clappers’ to the left and then you could draw a line to the ‘Wrist Slashers’ on the right?

All of us, at sometime, have been somewhere on that line, from the most optimistic to the most pessimistic.

Believe it or not, I have always seen myself more towards the happy clapper camp. I was surprised when Nigel left, I admired his ability to find uncut gems. I loved McClaren, obvs, gave Cocu way too much leeway, based on his playing career.

I couldn’t get on the Pearson train, but nobody could. I enjoyed the ‘glamour’ Lampard bought to the club, thought Rooney showed integrity and I really liked Rosenior, I was angry when he got the chop and anyone can fact check that if they can be bothered. I dream of a bit of side-to-side football at the mo, at least they could actually pass a ball!

Anyway, my problem with Warne is that he has shifted the dial so far to the right, there appear no ‘happy clappers’ left.

I’m now a bloomin ‘wrist slasher’ and I hate that 😞

Are there ANY ‘happy clappers’ left in the building, is anyone out there…?

Well there’ll be 26,000+ Derby fans clapping before the kickoff tomorrow.

We need 5 at the back, a sweeper and 3 defensive midfielders for this one. Port Vale are a really good team and have athletes all over the park and good players at this level. 3 months ago they passed the ball through midfield so we’ll need to avoid that area at all costs. Make it into a battle and get it wide and whip it in for the big man up front. Keep this tight and hope to nick one late on then add another defender. It’s a tough game and they’ll have some fans there so we are probably the underdogs and must approach the game with caution.

I really can't understand all of this. Nobody's actually bought a ticket so haven't lost any money. Those that have already booked hotels, trains etc. Why? Look at it another way, those that can't go through no fault of their own have a better chance of seeing it even if it is on a subscription tv channel.

Like most other things, hotels, the longer you leave it to book the more expensive it gets or the hotel is full, I don’t use the trains but the same probably applies.

Noboby has bought a ticket yet but plenty of people have made plans which have been altered significantly by moving the game to a night match.

Look at it another way if sky had not moved the day but still showed the match then everyone would be happy.

As someone who can rarely make away games due to stuff going on this thread is invaluable when we can but I love reading it anyway. So thank you. My biggest hope of Cambridge away is looking v unrealistic this year. However I have a slight complaint as your away match minibreak travel reporting on matchday threads has lessoned of late. Perhaps a winter thing

A big reduction in income due to retirement and large increase in hotel prices doesn’t help.

Exeter was fun though, Brizzle and Portsmouth to come.

  10. I booked the hotel for Sunday and Monday night and then drive back on Tuesday.

My wife has a long standing hospital appointment on the Wednesday morning.

The hotel was £20 a night more for cancellation which I didn’t think was worth paying, so now I’ll use the £40 saved towards staying Tuesday night and then set off back home about 7am.

    Cheers SKY.

I have no interest in personal infighting but I will not be bullied.

Stick to commenting on the football then I can ignore you.

Seriously, why would you post on a thread about away tickets when you have posted that you have no interest in actually going to games.

No one is bullying you, just responding to your constant carping.

I started the away ticket thread to communicate and where possible help other fans with any information I might have, and quite frankly I find it insulting that you think I’m saying I’m a better fan than anyone else and I’m sure anyone looking at this thread is not looking for more Warne out jibes.

You say you won’t be bullied and then tell me to stick to commenting on the football.

How about you stick to posting up information from other sites, something you do that is actually useful and informative 🍻
