Why is Rooney to blame for any of the mess we are in....??? There is only one person to blame and it certainly is not him.
From what I am seeing (and im not alone in this view) Wayne is coming out of all this with his head held high and the respect of the fans, the general public and the players.

Please don’t come on here offering facts which spoil the loving narrative many have on here for Stevie boy. He wanted to go to Newcastle. Who wouldn’t have at the time. His time at Derby was on a down curve, and he was never going to get another/better chance to manage his home team.
@Kathcairnsdont stop posting. If everybody did that had had some argybargy with @RoyMac5on here, it would just be him on here disagreeing with himself.

But Frank had no history us at all, never claimed to love the club, etc and never tried to be 'smart' with his words. Mac did me when he was asked about Newcastle and kept avoiding answering directly - if he'd have just said 'no, not interested' or 'look, you can't blame me for having my head turned by a Pre club' then fair enough but instead he just kept giving these abstract, non-committal answers that assumes us to be stupid. The politicians do the same these days - they get asked a simple question and simply won't answer it to avoid being held responsible. I'm not 'down' with that as the kids say.
I'm not really slating Mac for doing it, just saying let's not get the statue up just yet - all he's said is that he'll answer the phone. It's not like he's in every day sweeping floors, cleaning boots and painting lines is it...

Think the older fans and women seem to have a different view on maclaren, more cynical  i suppose. I cant quite believe he loves the rams myself.

Well we got Mac4 quicker than I expected.

It depends really, I get your point that it's harsh to expect every manager to take us to the Champions League and sometimes victory is moral (5-0 against Forest was a victory for me, even if it didn't come with a trophy - OBE Cup aside). But Mac had a couple of healthy cracks at it, a side that were clearly good enough and a budget to bring in what was needed. He only had to have succeeded on one of those four occassions and we'd not be in Admin today. To repeat, I'm not a Mac hater but there's been no Derby manager since Jim Smith who has had more time, resource and funding to get this team promoted and yet, sadly, did not achieve the very thing he was brought here to achieve.

Depends how you define success as well. As I said, I'm not a Mac hater but I'm also not going to get dewy eyed about missing out on the play offs when we were top at Easter, I'm not going to laud someone as the Messiah for not being able to get that team - with that midfield, wow it was good - promoted. 
And yes, 5-0 Forest was a fine day out - loved it. Just as I loved watching us beat Man Utd in the League Cup semi but I don't see four pages of tributes to David Lowe.

You have to be kidding !! . Sorry he use to do absolutly nothing bar run around with his socks round his ankles on a par with nick pickering and steve cross . He was totally useless . 

There is a difference between good natured laddish behaviour and loutish, socially unacceptable behaviour.  Anti social behaviour whether from 30 years ago or yesterday is no longer acceptable. It's no different from the 90's? Sorry, but times and attitudes have changed and demographics have changed as well. We don't want it all to be about blankets, bovril and happy clapping but equally we don't want to be sat next to someone who is out of their mind on drugs or alcohol screaming foul mouthed abuse all through the match. When behaviour impinges on the enjoyment of others and makes them feel intimidated then it is wrong.
 

Not excusing the behaviour for one moment but think the young uns may have a bit of pent up aggression/frustration after not being able to do anything for a couple of years. Trouble is, it needs stamping out quickly. Because if it’s allowed to become the new normal, myself and I suspect thousands of others my age or above simply won’t bother
