Hope they have the same “Expert” on they used this time last year . The one who explained it was perfectly normal for it to take 3 months for a cheque to arrive from the Middle East.

I think protest banners are appropriate, fans can still be loud and proud supporting the team whilst highlighting the morally bankrupt organisation running the game.
Also a few highlighting our 21 point deduction plus crippling sanctions compared to 3.6m fines for trying to destroy the English game.

I don't think the words to chants need to be realistic, truly relevant, or be able to make a difference, to be fair.
I've lost count of the times I've sang about "Following The Derby over land and sea".  And yet I think the nearest I got was The Goldstone Ground, back in '79!  ?
"We're gonna win the cup... and now you're gonna believe us"!  Nope... Not in my lifetime!
"By far the greatest team, the world has ever seen"?  Hmm... contentious!
I won't really spend the rest of my days fighting, despite... or because of... Boxing day.  And I seriously doubt I will ever actually defecate, whilst miraculously keeping myself airborne over West Bridgeford!*
... And as for a certain Mr Powell being a genius of any sort, football or otherwise!**

    *Actually... ignore that one.
If I ever did find myself ferociously flapping my arms high above the Trent, I probably would poo myself!  ?

**Sorry Mr Powell... I love you really... mate!   ?

I suppose you can look at it two ways:-
one:- Show to the footballing world how unfit for purpose the EFL are and try to protect clubs that find them subjected to the bizarre tactics of distorting the facts to their own agendas.
two:- Comply and come back via league one and laugh at them.
To be honest I can see it from both points
My preferred option however would be to beat the drop and then call them out!
    Wishful thinking on my part.

B4, I absolutely agree with you and that was the point I was making. I hate to remain silent when the efl has done such an injustice to our club.
Mel Morris and his staff are to blame for our position, but the efl have added to this by their unfair and vindictive  treatment of our club. They have not applied their standards and rules to other clubs who are in a similar position to Derby. We seem to have been singled out for very unfair treatment. We must show our anger because if we don't this might be seen by the efl as agreeing with our punishment. Yes, the Derby fans have every right to come out and protest with banners. Keep the faith! ?

    Thanks Mucker.
It's just when you see a poster's name come up time and again and  a large proportion of their posts over a number of weeks are calling others stupids, blind, biased, brainwashed etc for not being as targetedly angry as they are....

We can do both, @Jayram. I'm a firm believer that silence gives assent and whilst those running the club have got us into this mess and must bear the a huge portion of the blame, the Efl also seem to have been contrary and especially vindictive in their pursuit of us whilst turning a blind eye to the same misdoings of other clubs. It seemed that the efl had a poorly hidden agenda to make an example of us and settle personal scores and that needs to be called out. We could protest in a more dignified way but feelings are raw at the moment as the fans and the team have done nothing wrong but are the ones who are most hurt and being punished.

I don’t think fans need to be Team Mel or Team EFL. I think the blame lies at both parties door.
The losers in this are; the fans, local business, employees and if you wish to play it this way Wycombe. The fact of the matter is that Mel has got off with his millions in his back pocket and the EFL have won.

Ultimately we’ve gambled on the proviso that if you spend enough money you’ll get up. In every other teams case this gamble has seemed to work. Just typical Derby that we’re the one team that this irresponsible approach hasn’t worked for. If it had Mel Morris would’ve been a hero in everyone’s eyes. For me it’s the fact he has plenty of money and has put us in to administration out of pettiness that we were starting to question his actions which leaves me feeling bitter towards him.

I also don’t believe that the EFL are innocent or simply playing by the rules. They signed off everything and only took a second glance when Boro kicked up a stink. It’s irrelevant whether we cheated or not if they signed it off the blame and punishment should sit with them.

It’s going to be 50/50 as to whether fans decide to be dignified or give it to the EFL every weekend. But ultimately both actions are irrelevant if we don’t get ownership soon.

If we do get ownership does the squad restrictions get lifted? This is the bit I’m unsure about. If they don’t then that’s rather depressing looking  at next season.

Mel called out the EFL for agreeing to a crap TV deal - they didn't like that..... Mel questioned whether they were the best people to run the league - they didn't like that either..... Mel thought he was cleverer than the EFL by finding a number of legitimate ways through their poorly thought-through/written 'rules' - they didn't like that at all..... Mel put the club into admin thinking there was a valid case to argue against the 12 points - they hated that as it might have opened the floodgates for other clubs to follow..... Mel left the building - the EFL didn't care because by then the terms Derby County and Mel Morris were interchangeable in their eyes. The EFL did their very best to kill Derby County - they may still have succeeded.....we shall see.

Personally I don't think it's a case of picking one side over another. We are all aware of the absolute carnage MM has created and caused whilst at the same time, it's pretty obvious that the EFL, while having it in for MM, and subsequently us, have been nasty, vindictive and disgustingly protectionist of their own 'institution' and have failed at every step to safeguard the club's best interests (as they say they do) to ensure that this fine club can survive and move forward. Their behaviour, like MM's has been utterly appalling.
I'm staggered that some people can think the EFL have behaved perfectly fine and justified throughout this whole process.

We literally didn't break any rules as they were written at the time.
This complex for taking nothing into account but your hatred of one individual is beyond strange.
Acknowledging the faults of other parties isn't absolving Mel Morris of blame for his own actions.

I agree mostly. However, we have been under some form of embargo for 2 seasons and will continue to be under some form for possibly another 2. I don't think that is remotely fair, there has definitely been a willingness on the EFL to ensure we get overly shafted through a long drawn out saga.
Mel, Pearce, the EFL, they have all been inadequate ( to say the least) during this process.

I take your point but our useless CEO has to take a big portion of the blame.
I mean what exactly did Stephen Pearce actually do? What was his job supposed to be? Considering he was first Finance Director and later CEO can we not deduce that he was possibly the biggest driver of our kamikaze accounting? Perhaps even taking more of the blame than Mel? (Who of course has to shoulder a lot of blame)

You're right in much of what you say, but the EFL did introduce some new sanctions in June of this year, purely coincidentally of course, which had the effect of strangling DCFC alone in respect of making changes to the playing squad.
And they've never adequately addressed the transgressions of teams who cheated and connived their way to promotion and, in one case, the PL title. So forgive me if I don't hold them in quite such high regard.
