Jules was running in a straight line and was absolutely skinning Knight for pace. And Knight threw himself to his left as Jules began to overtake him. Knight can run on whatever line he wants but if he’s changing direction to cause the contact it affects the ruling 
 
From the angle first shown on TV (not from the corner flag) it certainly does look like a pen, I agree. But the ref saw it from behind the two players which I think explains the decision.

Yes this is the angle to look at it from. The contact occurs because, as jules is catching up with him, Knight unnaturally throws himself to his left. 

“You’ve seen them given” is about as much as you can say. It was a good decision.
I’d have been incensed if this was given against us and I can’t imagine how many chapters it would inspire from the pen of@DavesaRam

He isnt though, referees are beginning to see through it, hence why his dive against Ipswich was also ignored by the officials.

None of them were penalties in fairness. Collins was the one who handled it, batting it first onto their defender’s hand.
And Jason Knight was never going to win a penalty. His touch took him away from goal and he purposely initiated contact with their defender to then go to ground. 
Knight does that all the time to win soft free kicks as he doesn’t have the pace to match his quick awareness and initial acceleration. He makes a habit of getting in front of players, slowing down, initiating contact and falling over. Never going to win a penalty for that when players are side by side.

Fine to praise NML as our best ‘outlet’ but when his crosses do beat the first man we rarely get a head on them. Knight and Barks working that side might be more effective

I don’t get why he rarely tries to drill a cross along the ground, he does so much good work to beat the defenders I’d love to see him vary the crossing.
