Not clear yet that he’s a crook. Key question is whether he used Slync funds for personal benefit. All the Forbes talk about him having sole control of the company investment account points to fingers in the till. We’ll see - I guess he goes to jail in that case
If he didn’t embezzle, the question then is whether the slync product is a winner, ie whether investors will continue to support the business. Dunno where this stands But if they do continue to invest, he might be sacked as an employee and if he remains his role is bound to change. His antics will have significantly changed the economics of the next round of funding - so his shareholding will be diluted. Costly. Maybe Mike Ashley will step in and buy slync on the cheap ?
The private jet was a sign that even though he was a mere multi millionaire, he wanted to act like a billionaire - instead of wanting to work hard to ensure he became one.

I honestly think after reading that article, that he has transferred the money out his company "investing" account, of which he only has access.
He's got this money sitting in his account or a holding account which he has shown as proof
He's gone to transfer millions, money laundering has asked more questions, he's got cold feet as its not really his own personal wealth.
I think his crypto story is fabricated as he knows it's impossible for anyone to verify it.

Our owner is showing he's a community custodian as well as a club custodian. Fantastic.
DC owner of DC. CD captain of DC. Both showing good old fashioned leadership values which are a dwindling asset in our once great country.
I'm not now too bothered about DCFC winning or losing games - I'm just honoured to support a club with such an owner and captain.

for ‘proof of funds’ maybe he gets Goldman to confirm he is a major shareholder in a company worth 100s of millions ? And maybe that was done in December
As for the cash actually required for the purchase, we’ve got no reason to think the cash wasn’t sent. What we don’t know is whether any of the cash came from eg slync or from Stretford. If it had all come from CK, you wouldn’t think there’d have been a problem with AML

But then can we as Derby fans speak with authority on the intimate goings on at another football club.
One can only base your opinion on what information you are supplied with, inevitably through the mass media and social platforms.

rooney did a good job at making us feel better (MAybe thats what football is about anyway?)
but the fact of the matter is he didnt achieve his targets but got us close. a lot of people say it was a difficult job but there was so little pressure surrounding it that every game was a free hit and every run of form looked like a miracle happening.

kevinhectoring reacted to Ram-Alf in Kirchner- A risk or a potential reward
Too start with I like the fella, He's come on leaps and bounds in my esteem, Now there's 2 thoughts, The person and the manager, The person is what has swung my likeness for him, He showed great empathy with staff who lost their jobs, He carried DCFC on his shoulders and gelled a group of players together where it was them against us.
Looking back on his managership he did OK not good not bad, Our away form was shocking, Which was a big factor in us being relegated, Our home form was pretty damn good, Beat the best but unfortunately lost some to the worst and here again this cost relegation.
Perhaps he needed to re charge with moving to DC Untd, Be somewhere where he feels at home...but...are the family going to follow ? I think it's a gamble...fail then where's his next port of call? be a success and a move back here could be on ?♀️

Yes I went for play offs. As you say the fan base gives us a real advantage. So if we make the play offs I reckon we’re favourites for promotion

Play offs, I think, though it's hard to say.
The continued brilliant support of the fans and the determination of the players to regain our place in the championship should make the difference this season. I think our sense of injustice will continue to give us an edge.

Where do you think Derby will finish in the League table this season?
Following the conclusion of the season I will put all the names in the hat that guessed correctly, the winner will receive a £40 eGift voucher which can be used against selected tickets.
To enter, you must vote for 1 of the 6 options in the poll only.
Any written answers will be for discussion only and not be placed in the draw.
The poll will close at 2pm on Saturday 30th July 2022, at which point this post will be updated with all entries with a number for the draw.
The prize will be coming out of my own back pocket, this is not being run in connection with the club.
Derby County’s eGift voucher t&c’s will apply.
If a member receives a permanent ban during the season, or request their account to be closed, the entry in this competition will be invalid and removed from the draw.

Its not for you to decide how many posts I make a day or the content, there is never an excuse to bully someone of the internet.
Your comment mild or not its an insult, posts like yours are passive aggressive in an attempt to stop people posting their views.
It would be boring if we all had the same opinion, people should be allowed to post, its simple if you do not like mine or others posts place me on ignore, but there is no excuse or need to try and close down debate.

I pointed out how bizarre it was that a CEO of a VC backed business was spending so much time on his hobbies, and I wondered aloud what his investors were smoking. I was ridiculed

Being naive does not save you from jail and financial fraudulent activity usually when proven carries a prison sentence. The courts will not see it that way, if he has been using company money to fund a lavish life style and been reckless with the investors money he's in big trouble. He simply cannot sign that off lavish spending when the company has investors, they have a right to see a return on their money, it not acceptable for some chancer to take their money and spunk it all on a private jet..........
The 3 Amigos signed off their own £250K bonus each when taking over the club, they went to jail if you recall....
There were quite a few of us who spoke out and roundly turned on......

This move makes sense from a couple different angles.
1) It's a sign to the rest of the academy players.
2) It encourages Bird to stay with us. Important because he's arguably going to be our most important player next year.
3) He's been touted as a future captain for a while

Sensible decision. Probably a sign that he'll be captaining us to the Championship title next season.
