Brilliant. ‘The table doesn’t lie’. Followed immediately by ‘football, especially league 1, is so random’.

Not the best interview that. Really wouldn't confide in this guy with any issue I had. He really can't stop talking. Big Brother, Jesus wept. Get in training and try keeping the ball for 3 passes. Do we really need these constant ramblings from an amateur psychologist. Perhaps re-paper the win wall or order a few more mugs.

IF the players came home between games and IF Warne gave them Sunday off, they'll only be doing light training this morning and then travelling down.
On the one hand, a bit less training might do them good; on the other hand it's less likely that Warne will risk another change of formation without practising it on the training field.
But I would. I think the players naturally know how to play a 4231 or similar, and they'd just slot into the groove.
Just get Sibley in there further forward and keep the ball on the ground!

So let’s say Ipswich, Wendies and Plymouth go up. Still there’s Portsmouth, Barnsley, Bolton, Peterboro, Wycombe, 3 clubs coming down. Plus the chance that an unlikely club or two will find that magic combination of players and manager and blow the lights out. So I don’t buy what you say at all I’m afraid. Imo we’ve got as much chance of going up this season as getting automatic promotion next season under Warne

To much of liability when defending to put him in that deeper midfield position for me
I’d replace Hourihane with Smith and White would replace Sibley or even McG when we need fresh legs higher up the pitch from 65 mins on.
Much prefer White in a more advanced position where his passing and vision can do some damage/ help us retain the ball and he doesn’t have much defensive responsibility.

Sibley played some nice attacking football at LWB (esp linking w Barks) tho’ defensively he was less strong. But his most effective game was against Oxford and given the difficulty we have scoring why don’t we give him a run higher up the pitch ?

Barkhuizen’s fitness is actually pretty good and he’s been underused imo. NML has been overused, and sometimes against teams who can contain him. His fitness needed more careful handling by his manager

With the exception of the match against a poor Oxford side, Sibleys' most effective performances this season have been at LWB where his overlapping regularly created panic in the opposition right flank. If we are going to find a place for him in the starting eleven then for me that's the only position available - he can still provide an attacking threat from deep.

It’s a shame we haven’t got Chair. Perhaps he’ll end up at Chesterfield and not as a wingback

We are just one point outside the play off and Barnsley not likely to beat ipwhich town and that goes to peterboro as well.

A 0-1 win would have been excellent and he nearly made it. Nothing wrong away from home defending a lead especially if you’re finding it hard to score goals. Not sure he had the right players on to defend the lead though

Yeah. He needed to calm down before doing that interview. He’ll should be fined. But whingeing that ‘everyone is against us’ when we were rubbish is not impressive. But he’ll be aware that fans are roiling so he’s defending himself. Oh and being disrespectful of div 1 and other div 1 sides is not a good look - and surprising coming from him.
I think he decided to try to sit on a 1-0 lead. He’s been criticised for that on here but it almost succeeded and I don’t have a problem with it at all. What is a problem is that he seems to have no idea what he is realistically going to get out of his senior players - esp Hourihane and NML. This season was going to be all about getting the best out of the senior players through resting and rotation. He has plenty of other options - Bird, Sibley the most obvious - but instead we see the older guys run into the ground and we get overrun by more balanced squads.
The problem isn’t our league position, it’s that he can’t see how to get out of the rut we’re in
