I kind of explained it in the rest of the post I made, but I think he meant the entire team. They didn't respond well to our fans getting loud. They were over-awed and noticeably became wobbly. Lost their heads in that period after the second goal.

Thing is Kev, having a billionaire for an owner doesn't guarantee you won't be humiliated by "teams like Plymouth" :

Forest appear to have had a fabulous transfer window. They are in a different league

I think he’ll stick with Warne. Not least because Warne doesn’t respond to underinvestment by throwing his toys out of the pram

Given the history, I think investment in the club alongside DC is pretty unlikely. Unfortunately.
Much more likely he will sell the club in due course and keep the stadium
Will be interesting to see whether he reaches for the chequebook in January if we’re struggling

But this is what this team does, or has done. They find a way. That said, I have to say that this is a major blow to my belief that we can be competitive, but were we to win, or even just share the spoils against Bristol, I'd not be remotely surprised. I think as much as anything it's that we seem to be several different teams all at once, sometimes in the same game, but I agree with the sentiment expressed by some that losing badly whilst playing well is one thing, but this was very much something else. It's much harder to dismiss concerns after a performance like that, or it is for me at least. I rarely feel too down about the club, but tonight was not pleasant viewing in any way, shape or form.

And if we’d been willing/able to spend more in the window, this season would be about competing for top 6

Yes I don’t buy into this oil tanker turnaround scenario. As things look I think we might finish something like 15th this season (a wild guess). If we’d used more of our FFp headroom and if the squad performed to potential, then top 6 would be feasible.

I thought we deserved a draw.  We’ve obviously learnt from the Blackburn game as being too open there cost us.  They scored a cracking goal to equalise and for their second the ball could have dropped anywhere.  You can’t fault JWZ for either goal and I thought he did OK.
Given Watfords start and the fact it’s their best scoring start to a season for over 40years I thought we set up about right.  If we’d have been more open and higher up the pitch we’d have been exposed.
We obviously need a bit more in the attacking areas and it’s clear PW and everyone is working hard to get those players in this week.
Maybe I look at things too positive but I really don’t get the negativity.  3 games, against good opposition, 2 away games and 3 points and 15th position.  That’s decent while we find our feet.  Nothing is won or lost now.  At one point last season we were 11th.  Players will still come in, and other than Blackburn we’ve set up well to deal with the opposition.  A bit more luck we’d have drawn yesterday.

They basically made a mistake that Jackson was in the position to pounce on and have the speed and skill to turn it into a goal , they never gave him a goal , they never played a perfectly weighted pass to him , he and derby team earned that goal by being in the perfect position to put pressure on them and make the most of any error, errors that teams make for many reasons many times in many games, well done derby  and Jackson , defended superbly and took your chance when it came ,, 3 points and on to the next game 💪

I think spin is a bit too strong in describing it but there’s definitely a narrative around the rebuild that is rightly managing expectations.
Take what George Burley did (no not that thing) in bringing in a strong core for limited monies and turning us into a competitive team all in one season.
Given the window hasn’t closed Warne may be about to achieve something similar. It’s more likely he won’t. So the narrative avoids putting undue pressure on the team and manager.
For that reason I’m happy that the club are pursuing the narrative/ spin.

This is vicious stuff from you. Maybe just mull over what I say in a considered way; and don’t simply dismiss it as ‘crap’
And this does matter imo. I will explain why and just at least consider it
many of the people posting on here take it as read that after the MM catastrophe, it will be a long rebuild. And everyone’s admiration of and appreciation for DC’s saving OUR CLUB encourages fans to think:  of course, he has as long as he wants. The post I initially responded to did just that
I am concerned about this, for two reasons. First , it is OUR CLUB. B4 told us so
Second, DC has a difficult balancing act.  He loves Derby, but he is legally and morally obliged not to piss away the millions that his Dad secured for future generations.

So there is a real tension between
DC’s desire for a measured turnaround, one that doesn’t require major investment
and our desire to be properly competitive in the championship. (I fear we will not be this year).

The reason this matters is simple: if the fans are accepting of the line that this will inevitably take years, then there is little pressure on club management to seek sources of investment. And if our ‘measured turnaround’ is mishandled, we could even find ourselves back in Div 1 and looking a lot like Rotherham.

And by the way, I reckon that the deal MM did with DC on the stadium is likely to result in DC doing pretty well financially out of the rescue. I don’t begrudge him that of course
