Nail on the head there Kevin...Failure!, They failed to protect a fellow member from being screwed over by a fellow member, What are they there for?...end of school report...should do better, More concerned with looking after themselves...not a team player.

    Only just catching up...
What I want to know is, why are you paying £2000 now, for something B4 recently sold you for a £1000?  Did he sell you a dud?  Has it broke already?  That's just not on!  No wonder you don't want to pay him what you owe him!  What a rip off!  I reckon I'd rather go bust too, than be forced to pay someone for some old tat that isn't fit for purpose!
This sort of thing really riles me.  And we're all supposed to be bloody mates!  Yeah right!
    Grrrr.  Rant.  Seethe.  etc.

Have to agree there’s scope for conflict and improper influence. I’m not going to argue that the process is pure

I have been very specific. In return, just please be specific in telling me where you disagree, and I’ll respond without insult. And don’t just try to bully and insult me with offensive blather

The trouble is, the rules that nearly destroyed us, and will probably take us a decade to get over, are already being changed so that other clubs who get into similar difficulty won’t be punished like we were.

And this is where the EFL fall down, If you're a Derby fan then we all know Gibson never had a case, Q were stuck between a hard rock and the deep blue sea, MM had to settle with Gibson to ensure we had a club, If he didn't where would we stand today?
Any road we've all been here before as I see Pops Simpson walking in then walking out ?

Do the rules say clubs can’t  sue each other in the courts ...? Yes
they say instead that claims between clubs arising under the rules have to be settled by arbitration

Knowing which battles are worth fighting, is wisdom.
Making the efl our enemy, when they set the rules of the game is foolhardy.
We are better of leaving this to the politicians, and hopefully there will be an independent regulator.
Other clubs might criticise Derby for recent events, but that doesn't matter, because one day it will be there turn to ask for help and Derby might not be in their corner.
What is coming has to better for the club, than what the club has just been through.

All the recent talk about the stadium buyer is that it is a local business man. Then we get the news that it is David Clowes. Then the DET (or Derbyshire Live) statement that the Clowes company are not buying the stadium. So what? The news story was that David Clowes, the person, not the company, is the buyer, so the fact that the company has denied being the buyer is neither here nor there. It is a red herring. So unless David Clowes denies involvement, we live in hope, even if the fact has not yet been confirmed.

I think the better analogy is that - in proceedings - the independent panel is the ref, DCFC is Frannie Lee and the EFl is Norman Hunter

Thanks for the response, but I'm starting to think you've lost your mind! ?
Your post reads a bit like those posts from the Bristol City fan, obsessed and weird, so interested in your own warped and weirdly arrogant view of Quantuma that you've almost turned it into a Hollywood script.
There's no point going into detail on all the things you've said there because it's all been done before. You're still acting like you're privy to information you don't have and making over the top judgements based on pure fantasy. It's ridiculous.
The are a few posters who have a reputation of being very even handed, level headed, able to look at things dispassionately. They all seem to fall on the side of the fence I'm on with this, but without engaging in the more silly side of your posts.
I'll probably be drawn back into your world of imagination again in a few weeks, but for now I'm done with it!

I think Quantuma's biggest mistake was thinking they were here to manage an insolvency/administration process, instead of a 6-way pissing contest between Morris, Gibson, Couhig, the EFL, HMRC, Ashley and probably a bunch of others too.

We're back to you seemingly living in an idyllic space where everything you think should have been done was eminently and easily doable, and anyone who didn't do exactly what you think they should have done was clearly incompetent.
Maybe they were under-resourced, maybe not, it's just your opinion.
What would a properly resourced admin team look like? How much more would it cost?  Where were these better resourced teams willing to take the case on? What if they'd stuck another couple of administrators on the team and the outcome had ultimately been the same, with MM refusing to come out of hiding until the EFL had come down on one side of the fence?
Certain things aren't said in hindsight, I agree, but there's certainly an element of confirmation bias. You have no idea whether had they followed your suggestion the result would have followed as you envisage.
However, you pretend that this is the case and then use your now confirmed bias to make an (admittedly witty and well written) comment about their capability and performance in dealing with the situation being 'embarrassing' at best.
I find that sort of over-stated, overly dramatic claptrap more embarrassing than anything Quantuma may or may not have done tbh. The pretense that you know their job better and would have done it better than them? That, I find hilarious.
You seem to take great delight in pissing into the tent from the outside, I don't understand that attitude, never will.
If the current deal does go through I imagine their reputation will be just fine tbh, professionally.
Just not amongst many Derby fans.

Wouldn't surprise me....  That said I think Kirchner may have totally misjudged this thinking Mel would buckle which hw won't.
Had Kirchner have thought this through properly he would have paid 25p in £ the non football creditors and used the other 10p in the £ to help fund the purchase of the stadium.
It all still seems in doubt to me...

I think Q were under resourced and that their timetable reflected this.  It seemed they handled the EFL resolution (-9) well but it wasn’t clear they were moving forward on other fronts whilst they were dealing with that. They needed to be seeking an indemnity from MM to cover the Gibbo claim much earlier in the process - that’s not hindsight, people were saying it on here and in the press. (And btw they told us they were advised they couldn’t pay Gibbo out of the creditors pot because their legal advice was that the claim was garbage - so all they could offer him was costs.)
without seeing the EFL insolvency rules none of us can say whether the EFL was right on the football creditors point. But the outcome really was not surprising and Q failed to get legal support for their position. They drove a pantechnicon up a narrow cul de sac and Rooney was watching it stuttering backwards as the transfer window closed. Choking on the fumes. Embarrassing does not begin to describe it
I doubt they (Q) have made decent money out of this and I don’t think it’s done their reputation any good

    Ok
I had read the Q statement as indicating 31/5 was a target date for closing. EFL’s latest indicates it’s more of a drop dead date. Don’t know if that’s significant but may be they are putting a deadline on MM to avoid further slippage ? The other odd detail is that they talk about an ‘asset purchase agreement’, suggesting he’s acquiring a business not shares which seems unlikely.  CK has been referring to a share purchase agreement.

maybe we should get back to Forest
