On paper, very favourable for once. With their problems, could be a good time to play Wigan.

I think it’s a tough one. We are going to have a lot of new players so gelling isn’t guaranteed, hopefully we can have a good pre-season, however a not so good one doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll fail this season either.
On paper, if we want to finish in the automatics this season then we should be able to get more than 10 points in August. Win the home games and at least 1 of the away and we’ll be the form team from the start.
I think our start could’ve been a hell of a lot worse than it is, so it may make the bedding in process of new players a bit easier for Warne.

Got up at 6.25 this morning and put BBC Breakfast News on and there was a half hour programme about Rob and living with MND it was heart breaking to watch and hard as well, there was one point when one of the doctor's was talking to him about the end and how he felt about it and he just smiled and said he didn't want anyone talking negative like that. You think you have problems in life and feel a bit down then programmes like that show us how lucky we are. I'm not ashamed to say I had tears rolling down my cheeks when his wife/mum/dad were trying to talk about life without him.

To be honest they should've declared their second innings, lead of 200 odd to really get the juices flowing.
To be fair, I get why they thought they might have a bowl at the openers for half an hour on day 1 but there's no substitute for runs on the scoreboard. It's not what I (with my picked last at everything in PE pedigree of sporting success) would've done.
No play before 13.10 anyway, and if this match ends up a draw I'll laugh until the next test.

Well unless the weather has other ideas, today is decision day.
I suspect whatever happens today, England will feel they were right with the declaration on the basis they had a fist innings lead (albeit a small one).
I get the nagging feeling that over this series we'll get some demonstration of just why traditional test match captains and tactics are so conservative - baz ball is going to blow up in their faces at least once.
Still, England have a damn good chance this morning.

For some 20 years after that win in 1946 football was pretty much making small moves upwards, When Hungary beat England 6-3 in the Puskas game in the early 1950s we were not the world beaters we thought we were, Slowly but surely players were getting better and wages thanks to Jimmy Hill who helped break the wage structure were getting higher, There was a new era of football when England won the World Cup in 1966.
By the 70s football was on a high even little old Derby County won 2 Division 1 titles, The 80s were upon us and a new bread of footballer was moving in...the foreigner, These players bought a new way of playing and showed what can be done with a little gamesmanship a word that wasn't used then but it was seen as a way to get an advantage on the opposition...and then.
Sky TV came along and changed football forever...millions/billions of £ $ €, Football has moved into the stratosphere where players are earning £500k a week are seen as equal to the movie stars and pop stars, But with all this it has brought misery and destruction to some clubs see Derby County 😡
I've been watching Derby since 1966 as a 10 year old and seen how football has changed for the good and bad, My love for the game is like a Cow in the field chewing grass...it's there so I'll watch it, But that grass has to find a way out of the cows system and for me it's what football has turned into...sh!t
Only an old mans opinion Jake, But if you have time see if you can find "Football Leaks" a true film where a guy called Rui Pinto hacked into the world of corruption in football.
PS choosing Derby County as your team...is a good call 👍
