you can't really compare warne to the others though as he is the only one (except rosenior's very brief spell) who has had the best squad in the division and at the same time had comfortably easier fixtures than all the other managers.

Maybe, but what's that got to do with warne having some sort of tactic's.

    Nyambe yes i agree
Wildsmith has been and is better than vickers
Elder has had 1 good game and about 10 bad games
In regards to NML & Collins, how do we know anyone else wouldn't get the same out of them...

Max Bird is our best footballer. End of.

We are hypothetically replacing anyone you want. You could say you want Rammie replacing if you want.
No one is leaving, but we just lost at home to Oxford United in League One. So we are trying to escape reality through fantasy

The key part of my point was Rotherham didn't have to take the game to the opposition WHILE the opposition sat back and let them have possession.

All the managers that you are so keen to have us compare Warne to were all managing a club in either the Premier League or the Championship.
Warne is the only one on that, other than Rosenior, who has managed us in League One.
On that basis the only fair comparison is between those two managers and I would take Rosenior back over Warne in a heartbeat, with hindsight.

Some of the football Warne serves up is topped only by the likes of Jewell and Phil Brown for me. And Warne is managing it in League One. All the others have had tougher opposition to deal with.
Hopefully you have interacted with me over the years enough times to know I don't say stuff like that about managers flippantly.
We are in the worst division we have been in for decades and have been outplayed at times by the likes of Cheltenham and Shrewsbury. I have seen some of the most clueless, ineffective hoofball I've ever seen from a Rams team.

But still you won't sack him? 😄
For me Didzy last season rescued Warne from being truly abject, he's quickly run down any credit he built up though.

I have to agree. The wins came despite the poor football we've been playing. You can get away with playing badly and winning, but once the wins dry up, the pressure is back on. It's the results that kept the moaners quiet, not the performances.

Perhaps some will realise that our good results mainly come from the fact we have some better players than most in L1 …when it’s a proper challenge though and we need some tactics and guile we are poor …starts and ends with Warne and not good enough for this size of club

of course. I wouldn't comment on something i hadn't seen!
Sure he can't run round all game and win every header, which is what warne wants, but in footballing terms he is a level above everyone else. Good teams control games by keeping the ball, not by chasing it all game.
He seemed to take a big step forward over the summer. I quite often feel sorry for him as those around him are not at the same level as him and i have no doubt he wouldn't look out of place in a top 6 champ side.
Why do you think those teams are looking to sign him...

You honestly think Leeds Utd and Leicester City are looking to sign Bird ?  Most of their midfield players are worth around £6/7 mill. If you are right , we are in for a good pay day .

This is our engine room Chris and it should work harder than any positions on the pitch … I do blame Warne for lack of control in games as well because although I get the two touch move it on I don’t always see a forward pass as necessary if a backward pass keeps possession as long as the forward pass was thought of as an option
watching City when I go to Manchester uni to see my lad they make it look easy and control games overloading areas and outnumbering the opposition but also do the hard bit out of possession and this is where we are lacking in the centre I don’t see Bird as a strong influential type of player but we need one ….its ok looking ok against your Northamptons and Morecambes but its against the Peterborough’s and Portsmouths and Boltons where its most important
Bird would benefit massively from a strong CM in there and a manager who actually wants to play through the thirds

he has 2 goals and 5 assists in 23 matches playing as a CDM most of the time. That's basically a 1 in 3 goal contribution.  Bear in mind he doesn't take set pieces either to help boost those stats. What more do you want?
If your after more goals from midfield, surely it's whoever is playing as the no.10 s responsibility more than it is the CDM.
