I’m not sure the claims do exist.  Starting with statute, the Insolvency Act introduces a moritorium where any creditors or others are prohibited from pursuing any legal action whilst the company is in administration.   It’s pretty clear that the administrators haven’t agreed and, as far as we know, they haven’t been through the courts.
The only way they exist with the EFL is if arbitration proceedings brought by either MFC or WWFC have started.  As the EFL claim to know nothing of the cases it’s safe to assume they don’t exist in this form.
They may have lodged something with the administrators but, from what I’ve read, at this point of time they have no legal standing.  How can the administrators make provision for something that doesn’t exist?

Here is the order paper for Urgent Questions today:
    1. UQ - The role of the military in dealing with migrants crossing the channel. (Heappey/Healey)
    2. UQ - Fraud in the Coronavirus grant schemes. (TBC/McFadden)
    3. UQ - Matters of EFL (English Football League) governance surrounding the administration of Derby County FC. (TBC/TBC)

UQs starting at 12:30. Here is a link to the stream from the Commons:

It's still TBC at the moment but I would be very disappointed if Nigel Huddlestone isn't there to answer it. If he is there, I am looking to here a strong commitment from him to get involved immediately.

I work with MPs and can say from personal experience that Margaret is fantastic. She will be doing everything she can on this.

The only problem comes in that she doesn't belong to the party of Government. The Minister for Sport should already be on this. He shouldn't need nudging. One of the biggest football clubs in the country is about to disappear because of a technicality being harshly applied by one of the sport's governing bodies. Nigel Huddlestone shouldn't be doing anything else today.

Really worth a listen to both MPs. MB very passionate and sounds like she will stop at nothing now to take this on. She felt personally insulted by the EFL due to conversations they’d previously had behind the scenes.

She’s definitely got a handle on the issues & of course what we didn’t know, is her previous conversation with the EFL asking how she could help. They told her the best thing would be for MPs not to make public statements, so now we’re in this situation & she’s not been contacted by them

very good that she’s on board . We shouldn’t worry that these MPs don’t have a handle on the issues

good point - in her view Middlesbrough sound like they have a grievance not a claim

lots of resentment against Derby, but people who the grievances were with are no longer at the club

EFL needs calling out in parliament and told by authorities to stop behaving destructively or else. Everyone knows MFC case is paper thin.

So she expected to hear from them if there were problems & that they haven’t acted in good faith with her
    that they’re on Middlesbrough’s side
so she’s written to the minister
she feels there’s levers for government- shouldn’t be standing idly by while we’re put out of existence

We need to do something, I do think that one of the groups should start it as it will gain more attention, and people will put in from a reputable group.

The admin proposals (as reported) would have compromised the claims out by treating them as non football creditors. Which was unacceptable as a plan of action to the EFL and hence the current furore.
The efl actions would appear to imply that which is not explicitly stated in their statement this evening.
MFC tried to establish dcfc "guilt" through the decision panel and LAP process but only ever stated their intention to claim in the event of a guilty verdict.
Which were referred to in the LAP as "claim for compensation" .
The lodging of the 45m reported amount wasn't until November so after administration.
So strictly, I suppose their "claim" or "claims" were not previously rejected as they never actually got made.
Still leaves the problem of how an unproven claim for compensation has now "got" to be addressed -  there is no process for doing so, which might explain why the EFL have tried to "bolt" them into the creditor process.

Wow. Nice comment from a fan of the Dirties:
Im a LUFC fan who knows what its like like many other clubs to feel screwed over by the EFL, Derby have been punished enough, more than enough. Naturally im not the biggest admirer of DCFC but me and millions in the world know how much a club means to a community and someone as historic as Derby to go out of existence would be an embarrassment. MOT 懶 Good luck gentlemen and F the EFL

The point is there would be zero need for Admin to provide proof of funding till the end of the season if the club came out of administration and became the responsibility of new owners who have separately provide their own proof. But the EFL are refusing to allow that to happen and instead trying to force a fire sale before the end of the window to ensure we won't be able to compete. With one breath they say "rules are rules" when their own insolvency rules say it's entirely at their discretion. With another breath they say they can't intervene in claims between member clubs, yet they also say they've invited all parties in for comment. If they're being honest then their claim is if they don't force Derby to be liquidated, Middlesbrough might sue the league which then might see the EFL being finished. I wish what I thought of the Bamfords would make it past the swear filter.

Give them enough rope they’ll hang themselves. When you pull this statement apart it’s apparent how corrupt the whole thing is.
We really are in trouble. We really need that knight in shining armour now.
As fans we have made enough noise today by phoning, emailing and tweeting to get results and statements from them. We need to keep up this pressure by all peaceful means necessary.
Never have I felt quite this way about our club.

As an afterthought strange that a respected MP Margaret Beckett who has been deputy prime minister today stated that the EFL are telling her different things today from what they told her at the start of administration. Reading their spun comments the EFL are rattled

No specific mention of the Admin plan they turned down.
There's no funding in place because we didn't need it as Admin were going to name a PB. The PB could be named because the new insolvency laws allowed creditors to be ring-fenced and dealt with separately. But this was turned down by the EFL.
And round we go. The EFL are acting against statute in turning down the Admins plan but have put us up against the wall with funding demands and little time.

Complete word salad from the EFL. All their statement boils down to is, it's not our fault we're just following the rules.
Rules that they have continually changed and reinterpreted to suit their own agenda.

The Admins need to be doing more, and better in destroying these statements. This is your bread and butter, you know how insolvency works far better than the EFL clowns, educate them in the public domain, where everyone can see. FFS.
