Bowyer has won four out of his six games at Brum.

Avidly following a Rotherham match, and feeling like a lottery winner when Birmingham City score. What a time to be alive!

That's us safe, no way Rotherham can catch us now.
I thought we'd need a couple of points to be sure, but now we can start planning for the PL push next season.

If Coventry lose today then they are still catchable. I would settle for a fourth bottom finish right now.

Rotherham would be down without Wing. Warnock did them a right favour there. It’s a worry that Rotherham have so much energy

Ignoring your pessimism over our form etc how many points can you honestly see Rotherham getting in their final 7 games? This is a team who have a small squad, fixture pile up & have recently lost at home to Wycombe & Cov.
Their remaining 7 -
Bham (H)
Boro (H) - 4th game in 8 days
Barnsley (A)
Brentford (A) - Game in hand
Blackburn (H)
Luton (A) - Game in hand
Cardiff (A)
I think they may get 6pts? 1 win and 3 draws seems a fair return from them 7.
We need 1 win based off that, can we get it though?!

We are pathetic from the top of the tree to the bottom, the fact that we have to rely on other teams shows how poor we are. We are going down sadly due to mismanagement at all levels. It was coming from the way we finished last season.

I know Swansea are in the top 6 but they aren't any good. I'd be more confident about beating them than Sheffield Wednesday

Hiring a rookie manager in a season like this one was our big mistake. One roll of the dice too many from Mel Morris and it’s coming back to bite us. It’s the reason we are where we are. Whether we go down or not; hiring Wayne Rooney was the wrong decision.
Fantastic playing career, sensational player, worked with some of the best managers of all time and I don’t buy the idea for one second that he isn’t smart.
But the reality is that nothing in his playing career has prepared him for a scrap at the battle of the Championship. This is a person who has known nothing but success in his career. Why he is even at this club in the first place is something but a mystery to me...unless of course you give credence to the idea that he was promised to inherit the reigns from Cocu...
The blame for all of this lies at door of the person who hired him.

I don’t think it’s being arrogant and he said “one of the favourites” not “the favourite”.
Rightly or wrongly, I suspect every relatively big club that gets relegated to league one for the first time in ages automatically gets seen as one of the favourites for promotion. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sunderland were.
As I said in an earlier post, unless we get a big points deduction (I really don’t think we will), I see us suffering a number of years as mid table mediocrity.

if we win our last 4 games we’ll *probably* stay up. But I honestly cannot see us picking up more than 1 point ? cocus first 11 games are exactly like Rooneys last 11 games. Mel Morris has ruined this club and has turned it from a stable championship club to a financial stricken league one club. Devestated

I reject this. Wayne Rooney is not Derby County. He is a temporary custodian.
The club has existed a long time before his arrival and it’ll exist a long time after he’s gone unless of course the new owners are as inept as our forward line.
Maybe I’ve got my grumpy pants on today but this unconditional support tosh isn’t washing with me any longer. It’s a two way street as far as I’m concerned. Give me something to be proud of and my support will be vigorous. The halfhearted bilge I’ve endured in recent weeks is unacceptable as is our hoping for other teams failure to cement our safety in a weak division.

The next 3 games could play a big part in the history of D.C.F.C. I know Rooney is a rookie manager but he has got to find some way of inspiring some fighting spirit. Forget the Champions league for a bit and make the present players feel they have a future at the club.

Amuses me that on this thread there are still people delusional enough to think we're not in deep, deep trouble.
