I'd say there's a distinction between a 'fact' and a 'truth'- @Tyler Durden is rightfully pointing out that a lot of these discussions may use facts to inform them but the whole point of a forum is surely to move beyond that... 

I'd also say that whilst you're right some threads may be a bit of a rehashing this could be for a few different reasons (not all of them bad necessarily). It may be some posters feel they can add extra clarification to what has gone before or that the debate was unresolved and they can add extra clarity. It may be that they feel especially strongly about the subject and feel a need to reiterate (or to remind) posters of certain facts they feel are important.
It may even be  that due to the forum's success many posters don't have the time to really go through the threads like some kind of forum archivist before they make a post. This can result in the kinds of repetitions you're talking about. I know during certain points of the pandemic I was spending too much time on here but now my workload is now very full I've had no choice but to cut down. This has led to me not being able to browse as I once did and maybe remaking someone's argument or posting similar facts as others. 

Think he needs to have some jailhouse ones done or love and hate on either knuckles that would fill out the look ?

If every poster only confined themselves to posting bona fide facts then they'd hardly be any threads on here.......being a forum a lot of posts are made up of subjective opinion and personal beliefs but without this they'd be no discussion at all ?

The bolded part is something I've waited someone to post about so wouldn't have to. ? 
We've got good results against big teams and not so from the others. That doesn't suit well for the next season when we should be one of the big ones. Is Rooney up for tat? I don't think so, he has the same negative and careful approach as Nigel did. Small club mentality.

Wow. You are generally a really measured and sensible poster, so that is quite the opinion - which as you say you are entitled to.
Personally,  taking everything into account- both the many things he is battling with and also results, style of play, developing players, signings etc etc...
I'd give him 3 or 4 out of 10 for last season.  Maybe 6 or 7 out of 10 for this season. 
A few decent results and he would be doing really well but if things dipped dramatically like last season then he would quickly drop to 5 out of 10 and I'd be happy to see someone else take over the hopeful promotion push next season.

I know you didn't ? I was just regurgitating the populist opinion I've seen oft quoted on this forum that any other manager would have walked and no other person could do better than Rooney with the players he has at his disposal. 
Point was that it's possible to think that Rooney is doing an OK job at the same time as not viewing him as a superstar manager and not beyond criticism.

How does anyone truly know what his full potential is? Perhaps the fact that he has been playing at a certain level for so long indicate that that IS his real level and the flashes of brilliance or the purple patch he was on when playing for Ipswich when we signed him were just exceptions to this. 
Lawrence has been through enough managers at Derby, none of whom have been able to remarkably raise his performance levels, which does lend to the thinking that indeed he has been playing at his natural level.

My largest gripe is that when someone does bother to quote some factual based information such as statistical data but it then it quickly gets poo pooed with the hackneyed quotes about being able to be interpreted as to how you like, it's not valid to compare x with y and so on because the facts don't marry up with their personal agenda. 

Absolutely mate, it's all opinions.
Unfortunately I doubt any of us know the absolute truth about Covid, it's origins, what's in the vaccine and what the long term effects (if any) there are.
I'm double jabbed, but also wouldn't judge someone for questioning the vaccine as there are many cases in the past where medication given in good faith turned out to have adverse side effects.

I just don't think the Exeter footballing staff have any greater scientific insight into the link between infertility and the Covid vaccine than anyone else.
The players at St James Park might have already been running their own scientific research facility there in total secrecy. Doubt it though.

This thread was specifically set up in the hope that it would give out useful facts and information to ensure fellow football fans don’t get turned away at the turnstiles.

The following season the club avoided going into administration largely due to revenues generated from the cup run which Taylor oversaw. 
But he had Bobby Davison playing for him so that's OK. Even though Rooney had a number of international players at his disposal likewise but they don't count.

It is possible to have the opinion that Rooney is performing adequately with the players he has at his disposal without also making him out to be some sort of demigod and not beyond criticism.
No other manager would have stuck by the club in the circumstances? We simply don't know that.
No other person could have performed as well as Rooney with the players he has? The adult world population is circa 5.5 billion so again bold statement.
