But we gifted them the goals because they knew our weakness and kept us under pressure at the back.  They forced the mistakes.  Yes they were gifts but it was obvious for all to see that they were coming.    After that they kept us at arms length and barely had to do any defending as we couldn't get the ball into their half.   
They weren't miles better in the sense that they didn't play us off the park but they won every battle, looked quicker and stronger and it was a very comfortable win for them.    
For me it was easily out worst performance of the season.

Even if they stay injury free they will be knackered and that will cost us points as well.   If we stay up with a squad this thin it will be an amazing job by all concerned. 

We've been getting ourselves in winning positions in a lot of these games and the players have imploded and found a way to lose or draw.  Theres a losing mentality that Rooney has to be partly to blame for but I don't think you can blame the manager when players switch off, don't track bacjk or don't have the desire to win headers etc and that's how most of our goals have been conceded.

In our current state I don't know why anyone would sign for us if they have any sort of alternative. We have a recent incident of unpaid wages, nobody knows who the owner is going to be, the EFL are determined to see us relegated one way or another.
Having Rooney show them around Pride Park isn't going to suddenly make all of that go away.
