First player since Ebosele where there is that genuine 'up onto my feet' vibe every time he gets the ball.
NML has it with his power/pace at times but Wilson is different class with his quick feet.

The goalkeeper he scored three against is 30 years old.

Great to see the academy utilised. Those boys will walk away from that stadium as tall as anything tonight and none of them looked out of place. 
 
Well done PW for trusting them. 

The Wolves U21s were a team of young players still learning their trade, so not getting over excited from beating them. But still came away from the game happy after seeing so many plus points for us. Elder getting a full 90 minutes under his belt. Collins showing he's capable of scoring the goals we need, he just requires our midfield to supply him the chances. Solid performances from Wilson and Robinson, hopefully they'll both be given more minutes in the team. And finally the most pleasing thing from tonight, seeing how well all our youngsters played.
After having our academy ripped apart during administration. The young players we now have at our academy looked much better tonight than those playing for Wolverhampton.
Shame all those so excited by the EFL Trophy, that they travelled to Notts County for the previous Trophy game  couldn't manage to find their way to Pride Park for tonight's Trophy game. They missed seeing all these plus points, along with some well taken goals.
 

Derby fans after Collins scores a hattrick: "the opposition was poor, it means nothing."

If only we could be happy for everyone doing well this game.

Has it occurred to you that we're not allowed to play 11 academy kids, despite also having a cat 1 setup that plays in the same league as wolves? We're not allowed to develop our kids because reasons, but prem teams are.
This competition stinks. I'm glad we managed to get the kids on in the end.

I get that some fans don't rate Collins but when the guy scores a hatrick and still gets stick then it's pathetic.

Table 2 shows average ranks by players after 15 league games. The table gives Rank after 15 games and compares with rank after 8 games so you can see the "movers & shakers". I'll let you absorb the detail at your own will - apart from Nyambe who stays at #1; Bird 🐦has started to fly up the table and has elevated 11 places; Nelson has advanced 2 places; Waghorn has dropped 8 places...and so on.
The ranks/scores do seem to have "face validity" ie they fit in with my perceptions of players over recent games. The potential surprise is Hourihane who have advanced 3 ranks but still overall attracts a "below average" score - although by a very tiny amount.
