It's not something I'm proud of and if my mum was uncomfortable with it I obviously wouldn't. But treating her as some sort of shrinking violet who can't hear profanity when she's not seems quite a retrograde attitude towards women in general. Me and my mum are more like friends than anything else and she likes that aspect to our relationship, why would I take that away from her?

This is all a bit surprising given your previous expressions of enthusiasm towards violent disagreement with others btw.

I don’t really have any issues with the post as a whole, but come on, that’s a bit patronising towards women don’t you think?

On the incident discussed earlier that's really not on tbh. I like the fact that Derby like all football grounds nowadays caters to pretty much everyone and you can have an entirely different experience based on your needs and wants of football. I love a good sing and shout when I go to the match, so for me I like to go in the south stand to have an afternoon of catharsis by supporting my team after what is usually quite a long and stressful week.

But not everyone is like that, my gf who has autism has expressed an interest in coming to a game and if she did I'd probably get tickets in the east or west stand for us as she'd likely not love the kind of experience the south stand offers. People who have small kids may not want them to hear the language or be close to the kinds of behaviours that occur in some parts of the ground and that's fine too. Football is a place to come together but that doesn't mean replicating one another's behaviour at the game, it's about accepting the different ways in which we all support our team.

We have some light hearted fun on here with regards to stands, however the above incident is a bit weird. In fact it’s not just weird it’s wrong.
Pride Park isn’t unique in that we have a stand which generates the atmosphere, a family stand, one for older fans and one that’s a bit of a mix.
Not every fan will want to stand for 90 minutes, bouncing even in the concourses, the same as one won’t want to sit in silence.
Just like pubs, even forums, you find one where you feel comfortable and should be allowed to enjoy what they prefer.
I’d maybe think about reporting the incident, just so the club are aware, sounds like someone that could be potentially abusive where they can look out for.
Some will say grass, but no fan shouldn’t feel uncomfortable to the point where they may no longer attend, regardless of age or how they choose to show their support.

we were pretty fortunate to get a draw at home against a team widely fancied to be relegated. I thought defensively against Huddersfield we were pretty shaky, vulnerable to any kind of pace and movement and going forward we lack creativity and failed to really open them up. If you then add in the lack of bodies we have in the squad it further adds to the problems that we face.

It's just a day which you take off work to basically look after yourself. It's not so much the principle of it, just the kinds of people who self advertise they're taking one all over twitter.

People who go on holiday and put out of office replies that just congratulate themselves on what a great job they do. Normally things like "I am enjoying a well earned break" or "I am disconnecting for a few weeks after a tough year" or "I am taking time to recharge".
It's not a blinking eulogy, it's just telling people you won't be in the office.

If Billy Davies came out with that, he'd be tore a new arse. I don't agree with him either.  A job here is still one of the best jobs in English football.  Either Quote 1-you have a good squad and fully expect to beat Huddersfield or Quote 2 - Were in a right poo mess and nobody else would be here .  Make your mind up and stop whinging . In or out.

I honestly don't love this comment from him. He got total backing from the fans today no-one had a pop or a go and we all got right behind the lads for 90 minutes. It would have been nice for him to focus on that and not the absolute mess that we're all aware of going on behind the scenes. The comment kind of undermines him as well, is he saying as soon as we could get an experienced manager we'd fire him and the only reason he's in the job because no-one else will have him?

Yes, I don't think he's the right man for the job and I don't think he should have been given it. But he's here and we've spent an entire match singing his praises and the players despite the problems. The club have earned a point, lets focus on that, build on it and see where the issues lay. Pointlessly focusing on outside media is part of the problem that can infest a club like ours and comments like that suggest he's distracted and thinking elsewhere.

absolutely loved being back today. Something about seeing Pride Park again made everything else melt away and felt almost tearful at times. Definitely need to keep up this level of support, almost treat it like the 07/08 season I think. If I'm being honest I can't see much but relegation beckoning us but the lads need all the support they can get and as long as they put in a shift they should get our full backing. I was surprised how poor Huddersfield were really, barely heard them apart from the odd time.
