That is the catering in the concourses. (Not sure if the kitchens serving the posh food is outsourced or run by DCFC staff)

Hospitality is through the club - you can go on the club website and buy tickets for hospitality.

It looks like the hospitality is run by Delaware North as well: https://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/pride-park-conferences-and-events/meetings-conferences

I am sure I read somewhere that was the setup that Delaware paid either the club or stadium owners a set fee meaning they were allowed to run the hospitality, with profits going to them, but unfortunately I can't find it anywhere

We don't even sell the South West Stand Seats for hospitality on match days.

Maybe 300 seats there - £70 a pop including the meal? Never seems to be a lack of uptake on hospitality so by my maths...

23 games x 200 (I'm taking a lower amount of people here for an average) x £58 (Taken VAT off the number) = £266k. Minus probably around £100k of food/labour costs.

As a football club, we have to maximise all opportunities for revenue (such as £1 booking fee's and £2 for postage) but £160k of revenue could be created here and they don't do it? Why?

Isn't the hospitality outsourced? In that the company that runs it (Delaware perhaps?) pays us a set fee each year for the rights to run the hospitality, and then whatever they make over that fee is profit for Delaware. I vaguely remember reading/hearing something about it being that kind of set up.

Don't know if this is what you meant... when PP was built, foundations were put in to allow another ring on the East Stand and maybe the North as well IIRC. The extra seating would increase capacity to 44K but he only planned to do the extension after we'd had at least one relegationless season in the PL.

I think this is what he meant: https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/business/derby-county-reveals-exciting-plans-819597

  4. This is the transfermarkt's take on what forwards are out of contract right now: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spieler/vertragslosespieler/statistik/1/plus//galerie/0?ausrichtung=Sturm&spielerposition_id=14&land_id=alle&altersklasse=&wettbewerb_id=alle&seit=alle&yt0=Show

Any of them becoming a free agent after the 1st Feb won't be eligible to sign for us. So in reality there isn't much work to be done, apart from look through the list and identify anyone who might want to come, be a good addition to the team, and be within budget wages wise.

I still think there are strikers to be found with some hard graft and imagination. Gayle, he was released from his contract after the window closed because of the zero chance of him getting a game and he wants to find a club that will play him. He has taken that gamble and given up £7,000+ a week for an opportunity of match time. He has that hunger. Gregory still comes under this category of being no use to his club now. Many others whose contracts are up in the summer too, costing their club wages to see out the next six months for adding nothing. How hard did Liam Rosenior work to get Cardiff to release James Collins? He did not have a recruitment team to help him. Think outside the box, including Europe. Maybe phone up a few agents in the spare time they now have and ask them for inside info, if players could persuade their club to cancel their contract? Not every player is a greedy bar steward like Ikechi Anya.

That doesn't really help us now, in order for them to join us before the next window I believe the contract needed to have been cancelled before the window closed (hence why Gayle did it when he did). So basically we know the pool of players we can sign before the window reopens.

Taken from the Rules of the competition...

‘Full Available Strength’ means the EFL Club must include at least four Qualifying Players in the ten outfield Players named in the starting eleven on the Team Sheet.

Qualifying Player means any Player who:

    had started the immediately preceding First Team Fixture (as defined below);

    subsequently starts the immediately following First Team Fixture;

    is in the list of ten Players at the Club with the highest number of starting appearances in First Team Fixtures in the same Season;

has made forty or more starting appearances in First Team Fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same Club or Season); or

is on standard loan from a Premier League Club or any EFL Club operating a Category One Academy.

First Team Fixture means the League Competition, Premier League, EFL Cup or FA Challenge Cup (but shall, in the context of Rules 7.4.3 and 7.4.4 only, also include this Competition).

Any EFL Club failing to meet the requirement to play Full Available Strength will be required to pay a fine of up to £5,000.

For the Invited Clubs, a registered player is one who would be registered and eligible to participate in a Premier League and/or, subject to Rules 7.9 and 7.10, Premier League 2 match commencing at the same time and on the same date as the Match in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Premier League rules.

Each Invited Club must ensure that in each Match:

at least six of the starting eleven players named on the Team Sheet are players who were aged under 21 as at the 30th June in the year in which the Season concerned commenced; and

no more than two players who:

are aged 21 or over; and

have made 40 or more appearances in a First Team Fixture (either

in the starting elven or as a playing substitute)

in each case as at the 30th June in the year in which the Season concerned, shall be named on the Team Sheet.

    Ergo...

How many of the starting XI were U21 at Fleetwood. Nowhere near the 6 required. In the starting XI we will likely see JJ, Brown and Fapetu. Robinson will start or be on the bench. Weston and at least 1 more young un will make the "18".

Invited Club I took as the U21 teams (Wolves, Forest etc) that have been invited into the competition

Not the actual rail seats like Liverpool and co have. This seems like a half way house between the two, and a quick solution to avoid any disruption this season.

I assume the club will assess the feeling/performance on the practicals of safe standing at PPS,  in due course and look to introduce the full fat version in the rail seats.

What is the benefit of rail seats over what is being installed here? I personally can't see any benefit of one over the other, but there must be otherwise other clubs introducing safe standing would have done the same? Is there some UEFA guidelines that the rail seats pass that clubs in European competition must adhere to or something?

  8. I was lucky enough to go to South East Derbyshire College with this legend.

Even back then, whilst talking DCFC in the small group of Derby fans on our course he was always so positive and had unwavering passion, even when times were bad (baring in mind this was during the Jeremy Keith, Andrew Mackenzie and Murdo Mackay era, which at the time felt a pretty challenging time to be a fan).

We had a few in the group who would challenge that passion every now and again, which obviously remained intact until the 'good' times started to roll back in!

After College, we didn't really speak again, but every time he posted a comment on here it made me smile and remember those times because it was always along the same positive and passionate lines!

Rest easy Beavis (not a very imaginative nickname I know, but using the last name as a nickname was common amongst us at that time 😄)

He only left only after Clowes took over and they had a meeting.

Clowes didn't have chance to speak to Wayne, he left before Clowes took over or spoke to him:

    Quote

"We never had the opportunity to speak to Wayne or his agent Paul Stretford, because he had the meeting at the club the same day that we were announced as the preferred bidder," Clowes recalled. "I knew that meeting was going to take place and it was 50-50 whether Wayne was going to stay or not."

Don't forget that there is a statutory right under the Consumer Rights Act that guarantees against it breaking down during the life expectancy of that product. Contact the retailer you bought it from. As long as it's not been misused then you will be covered under this act!

Percy chose to condemn Q for dismissing alleged attempts last week for others to liaise with them, which was inflammatory and sensational claptrap - Q would surely have been enforcing CK's exclusivity and adhering to NDA's?

But surely Q could have responded to the parties trying to contact them to say that to them? Rather than blanking them! All it takes is a bit of communication to resolve a lot of these misunderstandings and minimise the sensational claptrap.

  12. Alan Nixon's comments make sense, BUT why doesn't Kirchner come out and say that himself? I think a message saying "Funds have been paid but are currently stuck in overly-stringent anti money laundering checks. Quantuma are aware and have been shown proof that it has been sent" would be infinitely better than radio silence.

This would then stop speculative stories coming out to some degree, and offers clarification to the vast majority of people (ok you're still going to get people criticising regardless).

  13. Paraphrasing Kirchner, he said something along the lines of "I surround myself with people who know what they're doing". Ok fair enough, he's busy doing other things, but surely he could have handed the process off to Garry Cook whilst he was otherwise engaged who would be able to keep us updated on the situation.

The issue we have here is there has been very little communication since the last missed deadline. Very little communication breeds confusion and speculation! If he had handed this to someone like Garry Cook to update accordingly means he can do his golf tournament, and Garry Cook could keep people updated. Even if it was an update, from someone official, to state that proceedings were still ongoing.

You didn’t ought to put his planes registration on here as someone might clone it on false plates and be involved in a house burglary or something.

Yeah you're right, it would be something a certain Mr. Marinakis would do in order to disguise his involvement in a house firebombing or 'fly-by' shooting.

You did indeed, it's also likely that his page wouldn't have the range to reach the UK. Therefore, need need to hire one....

Yeah but the red dogs don't let facts get in the way do they. If this guy knew how to search correctly he would know the following:

His planes N-number is N9CK, which resolves to a Gulfstream Aerospace GV-SP (550). It has a range of 6,750 miles so sufficient range to get to the UK. It is registered by a company that manages investments for private individuals (KFIM LLC) and was registered in Delaware on 03/05/2021 (which matches up with when he was meant to have bought it).

I think @Crewtonis right in that it's damaged and is currently being repaired, hence using a rental.

The Rams Investment Ltd loan (we have no idea of the value) was taken out over a year after the stadium was purchased, and cleared at some point before October 2021.

Wasn't this around the time Henry Gabay was mentioned? I assume it was something to do with that. We were told it got paid off pretty quickly.

Well he fundamentally conned all of us as we all presumed that he was paying HMRC tax that they were owed. Silly us.

Agree, that is also not a good luck. I still don't know how that accumulated to so much. Has that been explained yet?

However, you could potentially say (depending on why/how that debt got so high) that it might not have been the case if we had been taken over sooner?
