We have to win both games, and then hope one of Worcestershire, Lancashire, and Notts lose both remaining games. Our far superior run rate should see us ahead of Yorkshire even if they win their last game.

Worcestershire play Durham then us, so obviously a Durham win puts it in our hands if we beat Leicestershire.

Lancashire play Yorkshire and Northants at home, where two wins will see them unbeaten at Old Trafford for 3 years 😬

Notts play Warwickshire and Leicestershire at Trent Bridge.

    Come on Durham 😬

Edit: Games called off or tied for those 3 confuse the issue a bit more.

Can you just go through that again please?

    😜

I've never really understood the logic of hiring a mercenary army if you want to appear strong as a nation.

Is it not a tacit admission from the off that you're not good enough to win this on your own without spending a fortune to bring in some ringers ?

It's all well and good until the mercenaries decide they don't like the odds any more and switch sides. Not that it would ever happen....oh

Sounds like a Beilik tactic. 😉

Yeah and Bob Taylor was a terrible batsman. Stokes wants a keeper batsman. I’m not saying that’s right or wrong but so far his hunches have been good ones.

Hang on, Stokes didn't even use all his batsmen in the first innings, so what difference does that make?

..... Bairstow hasn’t kept in a while and will be better next time around.

Absolute cobblers. How many bloody chances does he have to miss?

Bob Taylor would have took that stumping chance stood on one leg with both his eyes closed and he's 81.

  6. Whispers emerging from Pride Park that further increased demand for away tickets in 2023/24 season has resulted in a new top priority 'Away Member' banding.

The 'Away Member' bands will remain as per 2022/23, but a new highest priority band has been added as follows which gives first choice to only the most serious fans:

Top priority (AKA 'First Dibs'): Away membership with 23 away games last season whilst wearing the 2020/21 pink away shirt
