The bidders won't be overly concerned about engaging with the fan base if it costs them money to avoid the - 15 points,as many have pointed out so long as the club is saved they will keep going.

I wouldn't worry about the administrators bill.  Once the creditors start complaining about a company liquidating that had a 28 million fund to spread around and it wasn't taken up, they'll be owing money of their own.

Are we the only club affected by covid then ? our lack of paying the HMRC and racking up millions in debt is down to covid is it?
If you seriously think that I'd be amazed...he was trying to sell the club a long time before covid and not being prudent with money is not what I call running us correctly ...I also don't regard his tenure full stop as anything but poor I'm afraid we were better off when Nigel was manager and we were running a tight ship.....I wish he'd never set foot in PP because I'm even questioning him as a fan for how he's left us

Why would Quantuma take a reduction in their fee?
A points deduction is of no concern to them whatsoever.

Maybe it's the administrators not putting them on sale because they can see how unlikely it is that we'll actually have a PB....

One of the posters saying that no bidder would risk the Boro claims was me, said people were living in fantasy land if they thought anyone would just tell Gibson to eff off, regardless that the claim seemed like (and was) baseless nonsense.
You say the administrators didn't foresee that or deal with that quickly enough, but of course they did. Their idea to resolve it was cross-class cramp down - a perfectly valid legal solution, so why should they anticipate the EFL refusing it? Of course that's hindsight speaking!
Would love to know exactly what power you think they had to remove the claims any other way?  Oh right... talking to people more! They could have clarified things with the EFL before the meeting, but then what? They'd still be at an impasse with no way forward until the claims were dealt with.
They could talk until they were blue in the face, but it wasn't in their gift to make Morris/Gibson come to an agreement, they can't force other people to act!
Now the people living in fantasy land are the ones who are thinking that the administrators could have moved things along any quicker than they did up to the point of the EFL stealth-admitting they held a position in support of Boro (remember they claimed for months to know nothing of the claim!) and the actions taken by MM / Gibson.
The EFL/Gibson had a clear plan to keep all this running as long into January as possible. The damage caused by that is significant, resulting in further delays and problems that we are dealing with currently.
Not that I expect you to accept that as fact, given your stance in past discussions.
I'm not saying you criticism of Quantuma isn't valid, but I am still going to say you're being unrealistic in your expectations - as perhaps Quantuma have also been.

You are focusing on the administrators concentrating on putting the club First rather than their statutory obligation of putting creditors First. For all we/you know the administrators may have spoken to bidders of what is required to "clear the bar" perhaps the bidders are unwilling to do that.Don't keep blaming the administrators for the mess they are working through.
The comedy of errors is the state the club was left in when they walked through the door.

The administrators will be more focused on what they can get for creditors not what the new owners have to spend on the day to day running of the club.If they cannot come to an agreement as to what the creditors will accept or they deem acceptable they will be asking questions of bidders what their expectations are, they will not look favourably on getting very little for creditors and then spending more on day to day running.

How can the administrators be accused of mismanagement, if bidders are not prepared to submit bids to clear the bar that is not their fault.

Who said anything about insolvency law?
The EFLs rules on this were quite clear before Mel decided to put us into administration. We're not allowed to extend contracts or buy new players because it is currently unclear where the money will come from to pay for any of that. The EFL is trying to protect other clubs as well as ourselves.
12 points for administration is automatic as per EFL rules and the 9 points was for breaching ffp, which again is part of their rules. There has to be a punishment for entering administration otherwise teams will just take advantage of it and if FFP isnt going to be enforced there is no point doing it (and before you say anything no i dont think ffp is a good system, but that is irrelevant)
I have no idea why you are trying to protect Melvyn, but everything that has happened is entirely his fault. We wouldnt even be in administration if it wasnt for his actions.
