The EFL cannot override appointed administrators who in turn have to report their findings to the judiciary, they might like to think they can.

There is another way to look at their statement (having the interests of the club at heart yeah right) they don't want to be the organisation that sees the club removed from the league but if Quantuma liquidate us then the EFL can say they tried everything possible to save the club.

No matter what the EFL spout they cannot interfere in insolvency matters, they cannot compel creditors to take what is offered.

If Quantuma were lying about his (unsubstantiated) offer they'd probably be in the process of being sued right now.
Mike Ashley is the king of gameplaying to get what he wants, by any means possible. Whatever anyone thinks of Quantuma, their word is more likely to be honest than his. They have nothing to gain by lying, he has everything to gain by twisting the truth.
We already know how weak the EFL are when someone makes demands that they deal with Derby County.
They've were pushed around by Steve Gibson at our expense, now it appears they're being pushed around by Mike Ashley.

So the EFL are going to overrule court appointment insolvency practitioners?
I can't see any problems there at all. ?

with the 2022/23 fixture list due to be released in less than two weeks, and need to act now in the best interests of the EFL.
Well as long as the interests of the EFL are protected thats all that matters.
with an acknowledgment that the League will be able to negotiate directly in relation to matters concerning the transfer of the share in the EFL.
I'm not an expert on administration stuff but isnt this pretty pointless? If the administrators dont think an offer is good enough nothing the EFL can do will change that and it wont matter who they want to give the share ti. Unless they're saying they are just going to give it to a completely different team

atherstoneram reacted to Stive Pesley in Quantuma - gov.uk official complaint option
in a rare fit of agreeing with you - this is spot on
I've seen this complaint form posted multiple times across social media, but has anyone actually looked at it? The form is only really intended for creditors and people close to the insolvency process. You have to provide actual details of where you believe there to be malpractice and crucially - provide the evidence
God help any Derby fan who has attempted fill this in with nothing more than emotive anger/frustration on their side. "Deaf Ken in the pub says" is not evidence of wrongdoing
You will be pleasantly surprised at the speed with which these spurious complaints will hit the recycling bin

Instead of fighting over the club, thus delaying things, Chris,Mike, have a word with yourselves and buy the club together. Job done.

I think the biggest barrier to MA`s "offer" is HMRC. I don`t see them accepting the settlement he is likely to offer.
Infact, I don`t believe under CK`s bid they are taking 35% over 3 years. The numbers don`t stack up for me within the £21.4m he`s said to have agreed. Where is all that going? I`m thinking they are getting a good up front lump and then further payments over 3 years.
I know I am probably going to get insults again for mentioning HMRC again, but aside from potentially MM, they are the biggest creditor, have a preferential status and have the major vote.

On liquidation, the players registrations are transferred to the EFL, who then sell them on to ensure that all footballing debts are repaid.
So, it is not quite true that they have zero value.
It's also possible that the administrators could decide to liquidate, sell the remaining players for whatever they can get, and liquidate afterwards. That way, the value would have been converted to cash and that cash would be an asset.
I still think that our big problem is not actually the size of our debt, it's that most of it isn't to unsecured creditors, so administration has done very little to reduce the debt...that and the ground not being included.

You’re happy to judge CK on stories yet MA has been described in The House if Commons and through investigations as a modern day slave driver!?? Hmm

Well if they have the money too meet the minimum amount but dont want to, dont spit your dummy out when you're not considered as if they wanted to be considered as a serious party they would pay the amount required. If they dont think its worth that much, walk away, simple.

I'm seeing others say similar; there are really only two reasons CK will not be the next owner of Derby County:
1. He actually turns out to be a money launderer and they seize his funds.
2. Someone out-bids him and pays more for the club/debts/bills/etc.
That's it.
Side note (that will likely get me slagged a wee bit here):
Q have been just fine as admins, and the fees they will be paid will be inline with other administrations/etc. They have not hampered anyone from making acceptable bids, they have not deliberately slowed the process from being complete. The only 'favorites' they have picked is the ONLY person to present a viable offer and signed the paperwork.
Again: if ANYONE else wants to table a bid that matches or is better than CK's I will be delighted!

Getting fed up of reading and hearing that Ashley is waiting in the wings like some wannabe saviour of DCFC. If he’s really serious he needs to get centre stage with a decent bid (better than CK) on Monday.

Thank you. I have hidden a lot of abusive posts in the last 24 hours.
And people who insist on chatting about allsorts in here aren't making the job any easier. Are they, @Unlucky Alf? ?

So basically Ashley's offer is not enough for us to keep the Golden ticket, which is what I suspected. So he can duck off.

No matter how many times people keep saying it,it is not just simple to do a deal with Ashley, unless of course he is prepared to agree to the deal CK agreed to.

No. Scaremongering again Roy.
one is a business which he is CEO but that also has investors and shareholders. I very much doubt the wages are paid out if HIS OWN bank account!
DCFC will be bought by his own money, separate from that of Slync.io.
I don’t need to tell you this as you already know it. You’re just fuelling the panic.
