Your previous comments that the club is โflailing around doing stuff at randomโ or โsitting around twiddling thumbsโ, whilst actively dismissing what employees at the club other than Warne have to say seem to do both the club and yourself a disservice.
There is work being done off the pitch to stabilise and grow the club whilst running sustainably, there is a strategy to invest in and grow the academy, some are keen to argue that the first team not being populated with academy graduates is a problem yet Bird, Sibley, Cashin, Thompson, Rooney, and Knight last season have all played minutes under Warne, Brown and others have been training consistently with the first team.
Have there been opportunities for Warne to give more minutes to young players? Yeah sure there has. Is he completely ignoring the academy? Not in my opinion. Could it be that the challenge of balancing a squad of seasoned pros all drawing a wage at the club has to take some priority in the short term? Could it be that some of those senior pros will move on at the end of the season and allow further opportunities to some of the current academy crop who will have benefitted from spending time building their skills and confidence in their own age groups with the occasional experience around the first team? There are other perspectives and possibilities to consider for me.ย
ย
You are of course entitled to your views, I just see it being quite clear there is some work being done on the academy that may well bear fruit in the medium term rather than the short.ย
ย
EDIT - And to be clear, this isnโt a pro Warne post, just a pro patience one. Warne wonโt be here forever, the work being done off the field and in the academy is important to the long term future of the club regardless of who the first team manager is.ย

Itโs always interesting to read the match thread the morning after a game you have been at especially with the group of warne out at all costs kind of monopolising the forum a bit theses days ,anyway here goes my take,
first and foremost a game we really needed to win for us moving forward and for b4 , we had a really good break away up the field on 37 minutes which I really felt and we were going to score from at nil nil ย and that would really have made my day but I know b4 would have shrugged it off fully believing we were going to go on and win anyway ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ, I stood and put my hands together for the lad,ย
the game , two div one teams in reasonable form on similar points going at it , both trying to play a bit of football cancel each other and themselves out with moves breaking down in congested final thirds and some poor choices and final balls , they came the closest to taking the lead with a shot of the post , not a great first half but far far far from the worst half of football Iโve ever seen as one poster describes it ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธI never heard boos at half time but maybe I wasnโt looking for them , I did hear Paul warnes derby army ringing out from the south stand which nobody mentions so maybe the warne out number are not as some would have us believe,
second half slightly better and the crowd lifted a bit , we scored and I felt we would gone on to win it from there but we gave a silly free kick away and they score , ffs , not to worry , we go up the other end and re take the lead , well done boys and we should have made it 3-1 with a great break but a last ditch tackle saved them , was a bit concerned with Bradley coming on for an injured bird but at the end of the day that can go either way with the manager carrying the can ,, today we won ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ,
wasnโt pretty , but it was everything I go to games for , emotions down , up ,down , up , edge of seat , final whistle , win , back to the car with a smile and happy , a man of simple pleasures ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

Archied reacted to Gaspode in Warne Out Out
Iโve been very much on the fence with regards to Warne. I hate the chopping and changing and really wanted him to succeed. I keep hoping that weโre turning a corner but yesterday was yet another awful performance only rescued by NML - without him weโd have been praying for a 0-0 bore drawโฆ. And then to hear the obnoxious manager being interviewed on RD and patronising Dom about the formation โwe changed the formation in the second half and if you didnโt notice that, you donโt get footballโ was disgraceful. We may make the playoffs, weโre might even scrape automatics if we can put a solid run together, but Iโm finished with the bloke and his stupid hats - sooner heโs gone the betterโฆ..

I thought it was alright, not a classic and not as bad as some are making out, I posted during the match there were some promising moments of build up particularly down the left with Sibley and NML involved but the lads just didnโt find that final ball or bit of composure.
On reflection I think my biggest frustration is how profligate we are from set pieces, but I love a scrappy, hard fought win (or any Derby win for that matter) and thatโs what we got. ย

Just me who enjoyed yesterday then? I actually also thought we played very well in spells. Some last ditch defending in the first half but other than that we were totally in controlย

On the 26th Nov 22 we were in 8th place, on 29 points after 18 games. Top 3 had all played 19 games, Plymouth top with 43 points, Ipswich 2nd on 41, Wendies 3rd on 40
