DCFC27 got a reaction from Carl Sagan in Early signs are good at bradford city
Err don't think this is a new "woke" issue. I think for decades it's been widely inappropriate to describe someone solely on the colour of their skin. Really inappropriate. Obviously nothing meant by it, but it's worth picking it up and saying. "Appreciate nothing meant by it B4 but referring to someone solely on the colour of their skin can be offensive, try describing them in another for example... ". No massive woke war of words needed just a PM from one of the mods, probably the post removing/editing and move on.

DCFC27 got a reaction from Crewton in Nathan Byrne - Joined Charlotte FC
Not really how it works. He signed a contract where we could extend if we decided. Tbh I speculate there was a clause that did the same from his side. It just doesn’t suit him to stay with us and he’s looking to get out of his contract.
Now he could have handed in a transfer request and told the club he doesn’t want to play for us which would have lead to us selling for a fee of some sort.
However these two players have decided they want to go a step further, make themselves free agents and take a bigger wage/sign on bonus as there is a reduced cost.
Both players could have forced a move, we would have received something. However they have done this to gain a bigger paycheque.

DCFC27 got a reaction from Crewton in Haydon Roberts - signed for Bristol City
We had a period of injury to MM, if he hadn’t spent that time out we’d have been in the automatic fold. The squad was ridiculously full of top players for the championship. Each position you’d have struggled to make a case for a better player obviously with a few exceptions but ultimately that was a very very good squad

DCFC27 got a reaction from BathRam72 in New signings, who will be first...and next?
I’d like Ben foster if he’d consider it. Lives in midlands might be happy to consider us as others have. I wouldn’t blow the budget on a keeper though. Yes they can gain you 3 points every now and again but most keepers can do a steady job and it’s goals we really need.

We’ll I think that depends on the player. Sibley knight Byrne yes… Davies Fozzy KB? Probably not

We’re awfully quiet on this one. I suspect we’re consulting the legality of it and planning our move accordingly.
The club owns the players registration and that’s transferred as part of any sale. However the player could rip up his employment contract… we can’t stop him doing that. However as we own the registration, we could theoretically prevent him from being registered with anyone until next season.
Personally I would try to come to some arrangement with WB, but £400k is too short.

I think this should exclude current England internationals too.
Martin
Hughes
Bradley Johnson
I actually wanted to see how Roos faired in league 1, I think he would have been well suited to that level

DCFC27 got a reaction from Rammy03 in The whole squad wants to stay.
To be fair there’s only a handful clubs that can afford to pay more than we can in the championship. The championship is skint.
Burnley
Norwich
Watford
Unless your in receipt of parachute payments, and I suggest his contract would mirror when they run out he’s a big gamble, especially given his consistency record.
Otherwise we’re (EFL permitting) probably able to match or get near to most sensible clubs.

I think the worry is more “what has Mel done now?”
Knowing our luck Erik Alonso owns the training pitches and BZN own the changing rooms. And CK had an illegal helipad on the car park.

Don’t think these admin have every understood the practice of under promise over deliver.
In my business I always give my client a date that gives me breathing space for example if I’m told it will be done in 5 days, I tell my clients 10.

I know Rooney has left, but I can’t imagine he’s told anyone had lined up not to bother turning up. In fact I’d imagine he’s encouraged anyone whose approached him since he quit to go in tomorrow to support LR.
