If it does go to the High Court, any chance they could put it on Rams TV? It'd be a great watch to see Mel and Gibson going at each other. Well worth a tenner
 

A key point from this is that in the EFL’s own rules it says member clubs cannot pursue claims against other member clubs and only the EFL can do this.  As the EFL have been so adamant that they have to apply the rules for fairness towards all 72 member clubs, why not for this specific rule???

So the EFL release a statement saying they want everyone round a table to resolve it, including Mel. Mel offers a possible solution. I can’t see how they can now exclude Mel from proceedings. 

Am I a fan of the Q&A style statement?
In truth, most definitely not.  But in the case of MM's latest offering, I have to say it was beautifully laid out.  Rather pleasing on the eye, one could say.
Notwithstanding the above, would I agree in general, to those comments as quoted by @RadioactiveWaste?
I would be most satisfied if I were to never see another open letter/official statement written in the Q&A format, and am therefore happy to concede that I do indeed agree with the commenter's comments.

Feel free to merge this...but having read so many genuinely distraught posts recently,  I wanted to say something positive derived mainly from listening to the depth of feeling coming from thousands of fellow Derby fans.
I read a lot autobiographies and a recurring theme is recovering from adversity and becoming a better, wiser and more grateful person.
So...I can honestly say I have never been prouder to be a Derby fan...and I have never felt closer to the rest of our fan base.
Mel has offered a glimmer of hope today, that will possibly be snatched away tomorrow ....but as the cliché goes its always darkest just before the dawn.
We will emerge from this a tighter band of supporters and one day look back and see this as the period when we emerged as a better group of fans.
It's a lifetime commitment...lots of angst currently but there will always be a team and us to support it. 
I listened to an old Eddie Hearn podcast with Ant Middleton today. Ant said that the moment he was told he would serve 8months in prison was the start of him feeling OK. He knew his fate and could start to build for the future knowing what he had to do, just glad that he was back in control.  That's our problem...absolute morons and vindictive tools are messing about with our emotions.
Hang in there everyone, soon enough we will know our fate and whatever the league we will have a team that we can follow and brighter days will come and we will enjoy them all the more.

We are currently an easy target for a corrupt organisation like the EFL and it’s puppet masters Gibson and Cuhig to push around. However Morris is an individual of their ilk - a ruthless businessman who is more than happy to pursue a scorched earth policy to win at all costs. That said I’m not sure Gibson or Cuhig have the balls to go up against him. To be honest they all deserve each other - as long as our club can move forward….duck ‘em all!

Think the EFL are done here no matter what happens.
If boro and Wycombe reject Mel’s offer then it’s clear what their intentions are… and the EFL are supporting those intentions.
If Mel’s offer is accepted then Boro and Wycombe are laughed out of court. Again egg on the face of the EFL.

Fair play to Morris, he has caused this mess which is well documented, regardless of his intentions. However he is finally calling the bluff of the chancers involved, saying “come on, let’s focus on your issues with me and let the club be”. I think I just found a teeny tiny spark of respect somewhere in the void…
