In a lot of respects it's fine, there's nothing "wrong" with it but at the same time it's an example of everything people don't like about modern stadiums, no character, no atmosphere, no sense of place or occasion.

Really badly designed, with all the executive boxes down one side just sucking any atmosphere possible away - one whole stand is just silent. Plus, because they aren't the best supported club in the world, it's always half full. As crap as it comes in terms of places to watch football.

Personally, I get no joy from seeing this happen. Anyone who supports their local club deserves our good wishes (and I do mean anyone) so that they have a functioning club - OK, one that we can then beat week in and week out, this bit it fine. But if we gain joy from seeing others suffering the same tribulations as we did then all we are doing is providing succour to those who think European Super League and sofa being the place to watch football is the right model.
That said, Coventry is a weird one - for a city of it's size they have always struggled for support, their ground is a khazi and short of one FA Cup win and that Ernie Hunt goal they have had nuffink to cheer since Jimmy Hill played for them. I know we often claim to have under achieved (in Cup competition definitely) but Covvy takes that to a new level. Probably only Birmingham City have been greater under achievers in my lifetime.

BaaLocks reacted to tarranwilson in Mayor of Cheltenham Charity Collection
Good Afternoon Rams,
I hope no one minds me posting in here but I am a Cheltenham Town fan that comes in peace.
I am a member of the Mayor of Cheltenham's charity committee and in our game against the Rams on Saturday 14th January 2023, the Mayor of Cheltenham Charities will be bucket collecting to raise funds for Feed Cheltenham (https://feedcheltenham.weebly.com) and Cheltenham Housing Aid Centre (CHAC) (www.chac.org.uk)
Both of these charities do great work and more information can be found on their websites, links above.
We appreciate during these difficult times, finding extra money to support charity is difficult for all of us, but if all fans donated just 20p the potential is there to raise over £1000 for these incredible charities.
We will be able to take cash and card and look forward to welcoming you all to the Completely Suzuki Stadium on the day.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and good luck for the season.

What they did, and at the time they did it. Name me a band that actually made the country they live in a better place and I'll tell you that The Specials did more.

They used to do a lot of this stuff, have the wrong person singing etc. JJ famously did TOTP with no strings on his bass.

On the topic of anagrams it's amazing to think that Julian's Dick is an anagram* of Julian Dicks
* I think, I'm pretty sure, might be missing an 'n'

BaaLocks got a reaction from Premier ram in Terry Hall RIP
Was trying to think this morning of more important "voices" in my life. Joe Strummer, Johnny Rotten, Brian Clough, Bob Marley, maybe John Lennon and David Bowie but he has to be on any top ten list for me.
If you haven't listened to their later stuff do try Encore, it is a very good album.
