Bob The Badger got a reaction from richinspain in Watchable telly
So we finished The Morning Show last night and I underestimated it when half way through.
Ducking brilliant.
Jennifer Aniston performance got stronger and stronger and Carell was I already said, excellent.

Slight digression but check out The Big Short if you've not seen it. Headline stars are Brad Pitt and Christian Bale but Carell absolutely nails it. It's a really good movie in any case.

Just finished watching Giri/Haji. Outstanding series that just got better and better.

Bob The Badger got a reaction from CWC1983 in Rate the last film you saw partie deux
The Gentleman - Colin Todd out of 10
I thought it was just brilliant. Great acting and a fantastic script.
Classic Guy Ritchie.
Hew Grant was absolutely outstanding as was Colin Farrell and Matthew Mcconaughey.
If you liked Lock, Stock and Snatch then you'll love this.
Spenser Confidential - Mick Coop out of 10.
Apparently this is the second highest watched Netflix film week of release.
Just a vehicle for Wahlberg to go back to his beloved Boston and earn a load of money.
Lame script, hardly any humor worth the name and a script more predictable than Roos coming out and punching a ball he could have caught.

Or maybe they are scared and confused by this entire situation and live alone with nobody to look after them?
Just a radical commie thought brought about by being brought up my lesbian male parents who used to knit yogurt, hug snakes and prayed twice a day facing Greenham Common.

Don't give up the good fight. I stand with you, figuratively.

Speaking of Formula One (and I can take it leave it), I only saw Rush recently about the Lauda/Hunt rivalry - excellent.

Senna has just started on ITV 4. One of the best documentaries I've seen , and I'm not a fan of formula one.

Yep Giri/Haji is great, just a different beast to Gangs of London.
Currently working my way through Caliphate. Its good. Its a slower, tenser animal with none of the lighter notes of humour of Giri /Haji.
I think it handles difficult subject matter really well without being totally gripping in a 'I need to see the next episode now' way!

Giri/Haji is brilliant.
Just finished Waco.
Pretty good.

Code 404 on Sky One.
What is this poo, I asked after 30 seconds, before promptly watching all 6 episodes back to back.
Escapist, amusing nonsense perfect for lockdown if you like daft comedy.

Bob The Badger reacted to MaltRam in Watchable telly
Well, yes. Laughed and cried at it, to be honest.
I'm doing bloody well i-Ram, thanks. Nowt wrong with me that couldn't be fixed by a quiet afternoon session down the pub, a walk through the white peak and a solid 2-0 home win.

The Wire was based on real people and actual events in Baltimore unlike Ozark so that kind of gives it a head start on believability.
Having said that, it was just incredible. One of my top 5 series of all time.
Ozark season 1 was great. Season 2 was good. Season 3 was meh.

My family and I watched the whole of the fourth season in one sitting. You're dead right, the script is terrible, the plot is totally flawed and the acting is horrible, BUT we can't wait for season five ?

Money Heist was an utter steaming pile of horse poo.
Terrible script, tons of plot flaws and horrible acting.
Other than that it was great though.

I'm too lazy to scroll back and see who recommended Giri/Haji, but thanks, and yes, it was brilliant.
I think Afterlife 2 is better than the first one fwiw. The wife was crying and laughing last night, and not for the usual reasons.

A couple driving home run over a badger. They stop to see if it is ok. The badger was breathing but very cold.
The man said to his wife put it between your legs to warm it up.
The wife said but it's wet and it stinks.
The man said well hold its nose.

a bloke comes home from his night shift to see Jim the postman leaving his house with a smile on his face clutching a shiny new pound coin . The man storms into the house and finds his wife in her sexiest underwear just clearing up some breakfast dishes.
What the hells going on he demands - well says the wife . I told you Jim was retiring before you went to work last night and asked what we should give him as a retirement gift. You said screw him , give him a pound , the breakfast was my idea.

A man says to his wife 'tell me something that will make me happy and sad at the same time'.
His wife replies 'You've got a bigger knob than your brother'
