If you’re planning on a taxi there is a much better service from Milton Keynes central than Bletchley even though Mk may be very slightly further away. There’s always a queue of cabs outside mk station (unless you’re pre booking of course)

Thanks, going tp hope wr don't have to walk too far and I'll just take it slowly. We're driving up anyway so I'm hoping we can get fairly close to the ground.

  2. If they was an option for they are both s**** I'd go for that but I went for Rosenior's style because it fits our players better.

I think part of the problem is Rosenior was got rid of with credit still left in the bank and was removed of his duties 2 games too early. Meaning it was a mixed consensus decision which adds to the pressure Warne faces. Think things might improve with Collins  back in the squad but I'm pretty dubious when it comes to him being the right man long term.

  3. That was the shitest game I've watched us play since Cocu tbh, woeful football. Didn't have a f****** clue. Really don't think the 3atb system works with our set of players and we don't have the defensive nous or physicality in midfield. Need 2 or 3 in January to have any chance of going up.

Cashin and Wildsmith the only players who were good today for us, thought Smith was solid as well.

I'm on a tracker. Not sure whether to fix or wait until they fall with the impending recession.

I do struggle a bit to understand raising interest rates to combat inflation in the current situation.

If the economy is doing well and people are spending money, then raising rates will reduce spending and borrowing, which should stop inflation.

When inflation is high like now, because of sky high gas prices and multiple supply issues, then interest rate hikes just wipe out even more money that might be spent keeping businesses going.

Small, non-essential businesses like restaurants, pubs etc are screwed. Staff costs going up as not enough people to work, bills going through the roof, then reduced custom as no one has any money left due to inflation and interest rate rises.

Are the people at the Bank of England making decisions based on their own experiences? Eating out 5 times a week in a Surrry commuter village and buying luxury goods. An interest rate rise for them will help inflation as they will go for cheaper 75 quid bottle of wine next week?

Not really sure how we get out of this mess, at least in the short term. War in Ukraine comes to a swift conclusion and Europe's realtionship Russia returns back to how it was before? Seem like the only option.

I think there is no chance in hell we should go back to the same relationship we had with Russia Pre Invasion as that would be bowing down to their aggression just for economic reasons, it won't happen either and I hope Europe stands strongly against Russia and cuts them off until a regime change. In the short-term governments will have to import energy from elsewhere and in the long term become more self reliant.

As for interest rates I think the BOE has no other option and is just looking to tackle inflation first and foremost, and protecting the value the pound has and ensuring that savers don't get screwed by inflation that could go higher is seen as the priority over anything else.

When the economy has an external shock like the war there is nothing they can do to make everything right, we are going to have an economy that is going to be tough. The way the system works though will mean that the very richest will profit by buying up all the assets like property's, stocks and cryptocurrency and make a tonne from buying when things hit rock bottom.

  5. Still think in and around Top 2 tbh, just falling short and being about 6 or 7 points off the likes if Ipswich by the end of the season, we have been in 3rd gear and can go into  5th or 6th once we get some momentum and play more pragmatically away from home.

So far this season has been probably about what I expected performance wise but maybe 4-6 points less than expected due to our woeful finishing away from home in August.

Getting the midfield balance will be key and I think we will get that right soon, my only concern with our squad is a lack of a top striker +a fast ball playing CB but we can't have everything in our situation.

Think you need to give the Greens a bit of credit too….

They fought hard but we are a much better side than them and have alot more quality , just through it away with poor game management and a lack of experience and physicality in the midfield.

Soon as it became a scrap at 2-2 we were f*****, we lost or messed up alot of aerial  balls when Sibley and Thompson came on.

We are woefully lacking that type of strong and solid player with a bit of nous, Smith would have been a much better sub than Thompson though to control the game.

  7. Just got home, absolutely fuming after that. 3 points pissed away.

Soon as we subbed off Barkhausen and Mcgoldrick our ability to transition from defence to attack was gone and we badly missed Mcgoldricks hold up play.

Thompson is a good young player but I thought he was really poor today and I think we really lacked physicality and some nouse like a Joel Ledlely type once the going got tough at 2-1 and then 2-2 when they had all the impetus.

Poor subs from Rosenior today and a lack of game management cost us.
