The Championship has been poor for a while. Leicester and Leeds should run away with it this season. I can’t see anybody else who stacks up against them.

Leeds have had a slowish start but Farke was similar at Norwich before they got into their groove.

Leicester and Leeds now have better squads than Sheffield United and Luton. They both underachieved last season (they had better squads than Forest and Bournemouth), but they went down.

Next season the PL will be stronger again with Leicester and Leeds in it.

But the Championship has gotten worse because teams with parachute payments messed up. Clubs like Stoke, Cardiff, WBA, Swansea, Watford, Norwich and Huddersfield all missed the boat on promotion (due to poor managerial changes and recruitment), and now that they no longer get parachute payments they have slumped back into average Championship obscurity.

Ipswich look on fire I think they will get back to back promotions it will be them, and Leicester automatically with Leeds or maybe Hull or an outside bet like Bristol City through the playoffs.

  2. I can see Luton getting about 25 points and Sheffield United a few points more than that. They are not that bad unless they sack their manager bring in some clown and have a toxic atmosphere in the squad can't see them getting under 20 points.

  3. Brand is not right wing he isn't a Conservative guy, I would say I'm alot further to the right myself without being far right or anything.  He's anti establishment and progressive I think mainly so like a slightly left of centre anti establishment guy who aligns with some Conservative narratives as well. He's the type of guy who would be happy to have more migrants coming in as long they are in poorer areas not near him.

As far as the case goes it sounds bad in a way but I'm not exactly thinking innocent until proven guilty when it comes to him,was a very dodgy character and with no self control during the period so nothing would surprise me and some of the allegations make me think he should be locked up for a while if true as someone who liked to listen to some of his Youtube talk shows in the past and thought he was alright.

Without sounding embittered or anything, Stoke looked very uninspired there and the whole game reminded me why I don’t really like championship football. A team/manager treading water with a mismatch side in the form of Alex Neil’s Stoke against a manager who’s going to build a ‘project’ to show that looks good to other clubs but they don’t achieve an awful lot. I didn’t really come out of that thinking how good Hull were, I think Stoke were just uninterested and flat. To be honest it makes me think if Hull are sat 4th then what does it say about that league!

I really like Rosenior, I think when we needed him he stood up many times and helped stabilise a very unsteady club. At the time would have wanted him to stay, but i think he would be more of the same to managers we’d had and left us previously. We wouldn’t be any better off and he’d at the very least be courted for another job elsewhere and we’d be talking about the unnecessary distractions!

You could say that about any good manager or being with an attractive partner,  don't think Warne will be poached by any top clubs any time soon.

Just thinking about the PL, or first division, it’s amazing how times change.

I grew up in the 90s so I only ever saw Man Utd dominate with the brief Arsenal and Chelsea win thrown in.

It’s amazing to see how times have changed. Man Utd just don’t register as a top club for me anymore. They are miles behind City on and off the pitch.

Probably those who watched Liverpool so dominant in the 80s can’t believe how bad they were in the 90s and 00s.

I see that with Man Utd now.

But give it another 15 years and after Pep and the City lot move on, the kids now will probably say the same when they drop way off it and we have a new dominant side.

Feel like City are a super club now and well established with the revenue streams ,infrastructure,  the value of players they have, everything...

Man U just had history and Old Trafford when Fergie left. Its different now in this era they will be established with the elite like Real Madrid and Barcelona in the next 10 years. Also when Guardiola leaves they will get someone like De Zerbi or Xabi Alonso and still be very strong they are not just Guardiola they have alot of money and are very well run so they won't be going anywhere bar the club being sold to someone like Tod Boehly and alot of mismanagement happening.

Also young kids from abroad will soon start not giving a s*** about Man U and City will get more and more fans, already when I was teaching in Italy last month the young kids were going on about Man City they recently won the Champions league and that makes a big difference.

Man U need the humility to accept they are nowhere near and sign younger players and develop players like Brighton with some players like Casemiro as well either that or spending like the Saudi clubs is their only way to get to Citys level as they spent when players like Aguero were 45mill instead of 130million like he'd cost now.

I'm sure it's been said hundreds of times over the past couple of years, but please let this be the time for Sibley to finally get a run of games starting.

He will be back on the bench Saturday, must of said something rude about Warnes wife.

  7. I went with a Libyan family attending their first football match in England today, the two boys were with their dad and are my mums students. The dad really appreciated that the Red Cross were collecting money for Libya as it surprised him.

They are a nice family but weren't best pleased that the ref was a women and said after the game that women shouldn't ref games after their equaliser.

  8. Feel almost depressed after watching that, energy draining and flat watching that football is like watching something slowly die. Absolutely pathetic excuse of a football bought about by Warne,Waghorn, Forsyth and Sibley were decent but most players were bang average.  Thought Cashin was dog s*** on the ball and Washington is very average,  makes Sammon and Mason Bennet look class. Smith was poor as well. If we don't win the next few I want him gone.

I don't know anyone my age who has tattoos. It is a young thing. There are many obese old people but there are far more young obese people today than when I was young. Maybe this is judgemental but I don't like looking at obese people or tattooed people and when these things are combined I find it totally revolting. Perhaps that observation makes me a bad person, but I am being honest.

There are not old obese people because they are mostly already dead as bad as that sounds. My Grandad is similar every time he drives through Allenton he says about how terrible it is that people are so fat and he also doesn't like tattoos. He is 77.

It is bad that they are so many fat people in deprived areas but it's not right to say stuff like it's disgusting and they can barely walk.
