DCFC Kicks got a reaction from David Graham Brown in v Charlton Athletic (H) Match Day Thread
Hate it when he says this. Its a cop out that blames the players either way. Either they don't work hard enough, or they do work hard enough but don't have the talent and there's no more he can do.

What are these players being told to do in training? Surely it’s not get it out wide and hope NML can pull something out his backside for hours a day? Cos if it’s not that then we’re either praying for a set piece or a bit of magic from somewhere. We’ve created absolutely nothing against a team that haven’t won since November.
We turn every game into a scrap as if we’re the underdogs which of course suits 90% of this torrid division down to the ground. Why play around them when we can try and out-battle teams that haven’t got half as much talent as us? Baffling.

I think it’s evident Warne isn’t a good coach. He may be a decent manager, but a coach he is not.
His motto will be to work harder than the opposition, and then let your natural talent win games.
But that only works when the opposition aren’t set up well.
The moment we play higher calibre coached teams we get found out.
Warne would be a disaster in the Championship with us as we might be able to work as hard as the rest, but we won’t have more talented players and we won’t be well coached.

He doesn’t know how to play any football - let’s hope we get promoted somehow and he can leave

He's just refusing to let the 5 at the back go. It doesn't work and it doesn't suit our club. I honestly think he's persisting with it because its the only system he fully understands. Even when we play with a back 4 it feels like there's large tactical elements just missing from our play like Warne just doesn't know how to play it fully.

How did Warne actual plan on scoring in this game? Apart from a set-piece or bit of luck.
It started off quite well but Charlton responded by doubling out wide in defence and that was it. Absolutely nothing from the manager after that. That's all it took to stop our entire attacking play.

Because it happens every game. I’ll be optimistic once the PE teacher is gone.

2 attackers in the starting 11 this time. Really going for it.

Exactly this. We never dominate teams or impose an identity. Warne sets us up with so much fear it gives every team we play a chance, even if they shouldn't have one. Because of this I'm never really that shocked when we lose a game, even though it doesn't happen often.

If only we'd been able to cross it in just a few more times we would've won I'm sure.
