I deliberately didn't use the phrase 'entitled' because I knew it would cause people to get emotive - but the reason we don't have a right to know anything is that the vast majority don't have any (to coin a phrase) skin in the game. At the end of the day we're just customers of the club - however deeply we care (and however much we want to know what's going on), we're not on the list of creditors so don't have a right to know anything.....

There I was thinking that their role was to dig through the mess that Mel left us in and try to pay off as much of the debt as possble - hopefully by (but by no means certainly) selling us as a going concern. Hadn't realised their remit was also to keep the supporters happy at the same time.....

I think they have a very specific job - communication is to be welcomed but shouldn't be expected......ands when they try to be open, it seems they simply leave themsleves open to criticism from those fans that mistakenly feel they 'deserve' more or else don't understand that the administrattors are working in a fluid situation where things can change.....

I was responding to a post that said the unvaccinated weren't responsible for the never-ending cycle of lockdowns and restrictions. There is a clearly defined link between the seriousness of the symptoms people experience if they are vaccinated compared to those that aren't - the unvaccinated suffer worse symptoms and need more help - and that means the NHS has to step in and use more of their resources - with a knock on effect to the treatment of other 'non-Covid' patients and the overall capacity of the health service to look after the population. That's why the government (and the opposition) are pushing vaccinations and that's why they decide to re-introduce tougher restriction and/or lockdowns - that's nothing to do with your conspiracy theories however much you'd like to deflect the blame.....
The more people that get vaccinated and have boosters, the less justification there is for further restrictions to be imposed - it's a pretty simple equation that most folk can comprehend without needing it spelling out in words of one syllable.....

It is if you consider that the underlying reason given for the increased restrictions is to protect the NHS. Every single person who refuses the vacine increases their own likelihood of getting a more serious health issue if they contract the virus - thereby needing more help from the NHS to combat the symptoms - thereby increasing the pressure on the NHS.
The more people who are vacinated, the less people that will be needing enhanced care if they contract the virus - that means less pressure on the NHS and less justification for restrictions......

According to the local rag, more than 40 per cent of those aged 12 and over in each of New Normanton, Rose Hill & Castleward and Normanton North & Peartree have not received their first vaccine, with over half in all three areas still not double vaccinated....we're damned to be in covid hell (trying to protect the NHS from being swamped) for evermore while there are so many people refusing the jab......

Not  sure you'll find that out even when the preferred bidder is announced - suspect all the bidders have folk behind them who will be providing the majority of the financing - some of them may want to stay in the shadows (at least in the short term)

I suppose the truth is that they don't know how these will be dealt with until there's agreement on who the new owner will be - it may be that one of the interested parties wants a completely clean slate so wants the administrators to 'get rid of' these claims in advance of the takeover, whereas maybe another party is more bullish and will invite the two chancers to take them to court if they're confident they can win....the administrators are still negotiating with the 3 potential new owners so there isn't necessarily one answer to this issue......
