Seems that was 22/23 season, from the end of January, and could hardly get a game in L1 for a struggling team?
Doesn;t sound like one for us.

A rat trap baited with Peanut butter.
Buy a rat trap and put peanut butter on it but don’t set the trap, do this for a couple of days and on the 3rd day set the trap.
We had a rat that transited through our garden I did the above and on the 3rd day around 11am I heard the trap go off and the rat was no more.

I was a vocal critic of Bradley and was apoplectic when he got sent off.
However, when you make a mistake it’s how you react and he came back stronger.
I don’t think he’s the player we hoped he would be but I think we need faster and younger support for Cashin, Nelson and Nyambe.
If he goes, he goes with my best wishes.

Elwood P Dowd reacted to CBX1985 in How much do you think we have to spend on actual transfer fees?
Well, it depends on the losses.  As I say, we do have extraordinary losses - and I suspect these carried into this season just gone, as we agreed a two year timetable of repayment (so more will appear in next set of accounts).  But they are extraordinary, and not operating, losses which is important.
Extraordinary losses will always fall away (and if they do not they are not extraordinary and thus you are insolvent).
So if we add a sum and then pay away that sum in wages, our position will not change.  So (disregarding changes in ST and the like) we have an extra £8m to spend on either a) wages or b) fees and wages without impacting on our financial position (within a one year horizon).

I had forgotten about John McGrath.
Now there was a player to envy, he didn't even know the word bias; race, colour, religion it made no difference to him he still gave everyone a good kicking, you cant get fairer than that.
He wouldn't last  a full game these days
He was a brute of a player, I write player in the loosest of terms as he wasn't much of a footballer but he had masted to art of foul play and took it a whole new to a new level.

Crikey, John 'Swimming trunks' McGrath. Had the looks of a prop forward in rugby league, and thighs like tree trunks. Was described by Bill Shankly as a 'pub footballer', if I recall correctly. The word 'robust' described his game perfectly.

Older folk than me have oft reference this.  They do say had we done what York did back then (and since), we'd actually be York now!

Well... I think we'd still be called Derby, but you know what I mean.  🤓

    Ge us 10p kid 😂
I have always thought that the mid 1960s  development of the Town centre was carried out without any regard to the character or the history of Derby.
I suppose only people who knew Derby before the mid 1960s could really appreciate what was lost.  Many of the changes that were made wouldn't have been allowed today but in the 1960s out with the old in with the new was the byword.

Derby was ruined in the late 1960s when they decimated the Town centre.
