uttoxram75 reacted to Tombo in Depression, anxiety, stress and other related issues
This may only be semi serious, but there's a lot of truth in it. The great thing about having a passion like supporting a football team is that it makes you feel alive. If I stopped jumping for joy when a Derby goal hits the back of the net, or if I felt perfectly comfortable watching a goal drought-suffering Chris Martin step up to an equalising penalty against the league leaders, I'd absolutely seek help.
Right now, I live for the football at the weekend. And it still makes me feel alive. That puts me at ease quite a lot. Even the heartache at Wembley is an experience I wouldn't undo, because it was an experience of raw emotion and I'd hate to lose that.
Always enjoy the little things.

The thing is there are people on this forum that I could have a right good argument with over politics , or whatever but the common bond that binds us all is DCFC .
It's a massive credit to everyone that by and large what gets posted in the Pub is forgotten about in the other forum sections
It's great that everyone sticks together on subjects like this ,I would even extend that to Dawny [ maybe]

uttoxram75 reacted to ossieram in Depression, anxiety, stress and other related issues
After reading through this thread I realise how lucky I am not to have suffered what is obviously a very real and distressing condition.
But I also think it's brilliant how people are willing to help others by posting about their own experiences of what must have been some of the most difficult parts of their lives.
Good on you and I honestly hope that this thread helps the people that need it.

Honest Indian I used to think it was a load of hoakum and blokes in particular should grow some, I have now come to realise that I am decidedly wrong in my opinions.

We should have a summer of Rams flags.
Take your flags out and about with you and post up your pics on here. I want to see DCFC flags wherever you go for a day out, whether its Thorpe Cloud, Alton Towers, Gullivers Kingdom or Morrisons.
I'll try and get one at Utch races soon. I'm tempted to do a sneaky one outside the Britannia Stadium as well!

This was me on top of the Empire State Building in May this year, two seconds later I was pounced on and wrestled to the ground and disarmed of my "unauthorised banner" the NYPD undercover officers thought I was mounting a religious protest ! What made it worse was when they said they had never heard of Derby County !!

Haha, missed this post Boycie.....yep, the land used to have a rail line running through it, the old line is a nice walk so the council "themed" the gates that keep the motorbikes lads out.
The old line ran from Uttoxeter, the next stop was the JCB World Headquarters factory at Rocester, followed by Denstone (near the College), then a couple of hundred yards from Alton Towers and on to Oakamoor through to Macclesfield i believe.
Good job they closed it down, they'd be no call for it now!

That sofa saga is like a photo art project Uttoxram and we got to see it for free.
Around here littering is a problem, but what's even worse is the graffiti. The east end of our apartment house is covered with it and as soon as it's painted over it's back again in ever increasing vulgarity. The residents voted to place a camera 4 meters high on the wall. It lasted three days and then the little ******** stole it and the recording showed no evidence of anything, just cut out suddenly.
