That was me. I did hear that from a very reliable source (Council based not football club). But securing funding is very different to actually buying the stadium. There’s no guarantees yet. No idea how long it would actually take to procure the ground officially, if that’s what Kirchner wants.

Glad to hear the fan who injured himself is ok. I was very near the incident, that flare was a particularly bad one.
Incidentally, this means I was stood very close to the legendary B4 by the sounds of it. How did I miss out on meeting him?!

FWIW, in a rare bit of itk, I happen to know that the council have secured funding to purchase the stadium. So hopefully that one will be resolved soon.

Christ, remind to have a piss in the sea rather than use the clubs cubicles if you’ve been in there…
