Millenniumram got a reaction from Crewton in Lee Buchanan - Gone to Werder Bremen
Words I would use to describe Lee Buchanan fall in the same category as words I’d use to describe Mel Morris. I can’t say them on here.
All I will say, is I wish him only the worst for his future career. He’s treated the club that made him the player he is with absolute disdain. Weasled his way out of his contract, costing a club so desperate for cash vital funds, just because he didn’t want to see out the contract he agreed to. Always struck me as a bit up himself after Joinersgate, and it seems I’m right. A privilege to play for the club my arse. Hope we wring Werder Bremen for all their worth.

Let’s hope we actually get this one through and don’t get gazumped by Forest Green or someone like that. Would like to see him through the door early next week.

Morris wrongdoing on a much bigger scale of course. But more obviously legal than what Buchanan did.

Millenniumram reacted to Oldben in Lee Buchanan - Gone to Werder Bremen
https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/lee-buchanan-pens-message-to-derby-county-supporters-after-sealing-departure/
The defender posted: “It was an absolute privilege to represent @dcfcofficial since the age of 14.
“Thank you to all the staff, players and fans.
“I hope to see the club back where they belong under the owner.”
If he gave a hoot about the club, he would have honoured the contract he was under.
At least Derby are pursing compensation via FIFA.

Mate it’s the SPL. I could score 11 up there.

Millenniumram reacted to Caerphilly Ram in James Collins - Signed for 2 years
Another journo saying we’re probably getting Collins, writes for the Mirror so may or may not be reliable (as with all these) but there’s more noise around this one now.

Excellent news, sounds like this one should get done then. Good to be able to have him permanently too, saves room for loans and means he’ll probably be here for a couple of years.

Millenniumram got a reaction from AlvoRam! in 2022/23 squad
Good to see U21 contracts being renewed. We need to put a team together at that level as well.

Millenniumram reacted to Ghost of Clough in Haydon Roberts - signed for Bristol City
24 starts at Rochdale - 3 at LB
Played mostly at LB in 17/18 (Brighton U18s)
Last season he only ever played CB - U23s and first team in the cup

He deserves better than playing on a cold Wednesday night in front of a man and a dog at St Johnstone ??

A good talent, but I'd expect him to still be in the u23s.

Millenniumram got a reaction from Caerphilly Ram in Formations
Very difficult to tell what sort of system we will play next season with the squad only half built as things stand. There will be plenty more ins and outs to come, but pre-season as always should give a decent indication of how Rosenior wants to play whilst he’s in charge.
I certainly don’t think 3-4-3 is an impossibility, given the number of good quality CB’s we’re looking to sign. Our midfielders and forwards should be largely capable of playing most systems, the key signing if we were to play 3-4-3 would be a top quality, athletic LWB. Excluding players I expect to leave, and including those I expect to join, you could see something like this:
Wildsmith / Rushworth
Chester Davies Cashin
Byrne Hourihane Bird LWB
Barkhuizen McGoldrick / Collins LW
I’ll keeping banging the 4-3-3 drum though. It remains the absolute best all round formation for the modern game, in my view. There’s no competition. So I’d rather see something like this:
Wildsmith / Rushworth
Byrne Chester / Davies Cashin / Davies LB
Thompson Bird Hourihane
Barkuizen McGoldrick / Collins LW

Yeah. Weirdly, unless he’s coming in as a left back, this is one I wouldn’t mind missing out on. I would rather see Stearman and Davies extend their deals then bring in one or two young cbs for the academy who could get game time as cover throughout the season. There must be some 18-21 year old cbs recently released from prem academy’s that we can pick up like we did with Plange and Ebiowei before.

Millenniumram got a reaction from Rammy03 in 2022/23 squad
Werder Bremen think so, we disagree. Be up to FIFA to decide. For now, he’s still technically our player, but I’m certain we’ll never seen him again, hence why I put him in italics.

There you go then, he’s clearly chosen location over the money. Fair play to him.
Ex-Forest players are always controversial, especially given he didn’t do well there. It was a long time ago though, and I think he’s evolved as a player since then. People have to understand that his game isn’t about scoring goals as much as bringing others into play and providing assists. The goals would come from someone like Collins, a proven goalscorer in League One. McGoldrick is very effective at what he does, so we need to judge him on that rather than his ability as a “poacher”.
FWIW, I’m not 100% sure he is a Forest fan. He was born in Nottingham but started his career at Notts County. Plausibly supports them in that case, which isn’t an issue.
