Too many of our players are doing goal celebrations that have the last word on some social media altercation (cf Holmes and his “gaming” charade) and yet show no or little passion on the pitch. CKR made me eat my words yesterday and I loved him for it. Deserves a big goal on Tuesday night ; some of his vision and touch yesterday was nothing short of, dare I say it, Martin-esque. And Credit Rooney for bringing him in from the start in contrast to Rosenior giving him 10 minutes and Cocu not even giving him that.

I noticed during the game and even add he was leaving the pitch after being substituted he was encouraging and guiding the team.....exactly what we need in the team,I was extremely impressed by him ??

Only Rooney vs Watford (49 in 90 minutes) has bettered that at CF this season 

Very impressed with CKR, love his commitment, he could easily choose to just coast along, do the bare minimum and distance himself from the disaster that is our season so far, but instead he made his presence felt both on and off the pitch (Radio Derby described him as looking like "the Angel of the North" after he was brought off and offered loud encouragement from the stand).  If he goes on like this he'll be a Rams legend by the end of this season, especially if we stay up.
You can see why his goal tally isn't huge - he's a Heskey style target man, but what a relief to have him on board!  Someone yesterday dubbed him "the sideboard", I'll second that!  The wardrobe is gone, long live the sideboard!

How many Derby fans thought we'd ever be in a situation where Colin Kazim Richards is one of the most important players in our team, and that if we had Ade Akinfenwa to bring off the bench it would actually be an improvement on our current forward options?

Interesting stat and the fact is the team was always set up to give Rooney the ball in front of that back four shows how influential CKR was yesterday 

Enjoyed his interview after the game. Reminds me of Deeney with his brutal honesty and passion. Need to start seeing that from every player.
He will be important for us if he stays fit.

Great performance and loved his passion. It’s a question of where is that passion in the rest of the team? There seems to be a real lack of characters in our team - in our position you want to see more players rallying round. 
 
I know it’s not remotely the same level but in all my age group teams from 10 to 18, it was drilled into all of us, even the not natural talkers, to as a team be vocal and openly passionate, encouraging the rest of the team.
 
Funnily enough as a team we really didn’t have that many players with great ability for our league but it was about team ethic and passion and our coach (who’s son is a professional footballer, he also managed will Hughes for a number of years in the group below, safe to say they had a very good team) really worked on that collective team spirit and enthusiasm. Fitness was key too and through this, we worked so hard as a team we somehow one season won the league unbeaten. 
 
But even in other seasons when we were struggling we were so determined and passionate as a team. Admittedly I don’t see this at many clubs really, bar maybe Leeds who just look so up for every battle and have so much energy. How Derby need that right now.

You make a good point, Stockport Ram, not against Craig Bryson, but against the general way that these type of auctions go that actually exclude ordinary fans from participating every time. 
I think Derby County Community Trust recently did a raffle of one of the pink shirts, but other than that, it's usually the closed shop of the usual suspects who can afford to part with their money. 
Sorry, this is off topic for this thread, and I am very pleased that the people who can afford to donate are now doing so.
