  1. 1Wildsmith 7 Significant acrobatic save horizontally to his right 1st half. At that point he could’ve picked up a book & read for the remainder.

    24Nyambe 7 None shall pass-by this granite-rock right-back. Took a knock.

5Bradley 6 Barnsley were spent when he saw out the last 10.

    35Nelson 8 Stultified Cole completely.

6Cashin 8 Perpetual motion of heading blocking & left-footed drives down the fairway.

3Forsyth 7 Vintage. Made in Scotland from Girders. Punctured any fight Barnsley might summon by killing the game with the 2nd goal. His piledriven shot became the 3rd goal.

    4Hourihane 6.5 Sufficient.

7Barkhuizen 5.5 Must do better and not waste gilt opportunity.

17Sibley 6.5 Brought a cutting edge late on and rasped the bar.

12Smith 6.0 Contributed with short passes here & there.

8Bird 🦅 6.5 Not as dominant as we have come to know but won possession regularly

11Méndez-Laing 7.0 Active & sharp but took a knock and was withdrawn.

2Wilson 7.5 Ran the full-back a merry dance with nutmegs, swivels & pirouettes a plenty. Joy to watch. Crosses never quite found white.

9Collins 8.5 Takes MotM with 2 goals and a bullish performance. A penalty and a chested goal.

Barnsley never had a sniff and were dispatched by a mentally strong Rams outfit.

Today I type with tears in my eyes; I am devastated to hear the news of B4’s passing. I had the good fortune of meeting B4 on 3 occasions which I’ll never forget. His passion and indefatigable support were inspiring and on this Forum he led us countless times with his rallying calls and with his own brand of words. Let’s have a sea of black and white for B4 v Bristol Rovers. God Bless B4.

I wonder if the slow-burn start to his career is because he is listed as a full-back? Most criticism of him has been to do with his weak defending. What if we used him, like Paul Warne has a couple of times, as on out and out winger, because that is what he is? A bit like how Brian Clough treated Alan Hinton, ie “do what you are good at and leave the defending to the defenders”!

I’m looking forward to him absolutely toasting the Crewe right-back again on Tuesday night; the guy resorted to cheating to try and nullify Kaney @DavesaRam

Was gonna pull you up on the ‘leather ball’ but thought I’d better check first and what an interesting read….. Thermal bonding’ never thought I’d type that

I’m indebted to you @SKRam ; “Thermal bonding” sounds like some Swingers’ Group  communal practice, probably involving a hot tub, a hot rub and snorkels. How long have you been engaging in this? 😲

May I enquire as to the purpose of the reference(s) to a left sided parting?

    Is it an in-joke?
Does it infer something I am unaware of?
Is there a hint of ridicule in these references, or am I being overly concerned?

    ... Asking for "a friend with a left-sided parting"!  👀

No @Mucker1884. I really admire "Kaney" (cue Warney's face in my head) as a player and his L-S-P is cool. It's a plain and simple fact.

    With us, hopefully.

Only 23, we can grow better together.

Hear! Hear! @angieram; I hope so too. I'm slightly perplexed that since he was 17 he has been at a number of clubs:

That's normally a negative insofaras it suggests that Clubs have perhaps cast doubt on his potential although for me he has obvious talent. I'm not suggesting there is anything amiss, just curious. His goal tally is obviously sparse, but the quality of the cross last night suggests he has a peach of a foot on him. He fluffed 2 unbelievably "simple" chances first half at Blackpool earlier this season when it was easier to score so at 23 maybe just has that "head storm" tendency when he realises he can score; that hopefully will disappear as soon as he gets off the mark but his record suggests he has something to work on. "But he's a full-back" I hear you say. Well maybe, he can develop into a more attacking advanced player at Derby. Hope he scores soon...almost got one at Crewe with what the commentator rather dismissed as a mis-hit cross, which the keeper did well to beat away for a corner. "That would have been a goal! " Motty would have exclaimed...and yes some goal it would have been. Keep that side-parting Kane, it's your schtick, and it's going to come good soon. To the tune of "sing when your winnin'", "He's got a left-sid-ed part-ing, left-sided part-ting...etc"

In praise of Kane Wilson. He's 23 and he's a Brummy. He's got GCSEs (His grades were two A's, four B's and five C's). OK he's had a bit of a stop-start flavour to his Derby career but I really enjoyed his 2nd half performance at Crewe last Sunday and thought he was very lively last night AND ... it was so nice to see his pinpoint, fast, whipped-in cross right onto the sixpence-piece that is Collin's head. All Collins had to do was shut his eyes very tight and listen for the "schooowwwrrllll" {that's the sound that the net makes when a hard-struck leather ball hits the back of the net}. Lovely goal Collo but that's an example of a goal where at least 50% of the resultant joy is "owned" by the guy who crossed the ball.

After 15 league games Kane is 12 in the DCFCFans' Forum ratings; although he's fallen down the table lately, he's just 0.65 off the top. I think Kane will be right up there this season. Big few months ahead Kane but you're my one to watch. And...he's got a great left-sided parting.
