Do you think Wayne is still drawing his full salary in the circumstances? If he is just because its funded by 32red anyway and that stops, with the integrity he has shown so far would he countenance taking his full salary next year if in league 1 when that money would be so useful for rebuilding? Would he have relegation clause in his contract? I suppose he could always agree much lower anyway if he wants the fight

I think Rooney has the mindset to see this as a challenge.

He hasn't caused any of this and might see it as a free hit. It will be a gamble if he falls on his sword. But then no one is expecting miracles straight away.

Í remember the 3rd Tier, it was truly awful.
Miserable away grounds, half full home attendances, agro as other fans tried to get one over a big club.

Only saving grace was that we win some games and got promoted (just) in our 2nd season.

It’s like comparing Skegness compared to Miami Beach

Yeah!!! Give me Skeggy any time

I've seen £60m and £50m banded about regarding how much debt we are in, but, having several times had companies go bust on me and start up again, how little of the debt actually does get paid, and twice I worked at a company that was resurrected by a Phoenix agreement, do those that are in the know, supporters' groups that have been to meetings, have an actual ballpark figure?

The Dell loan (now £18m?) I presume is Mel's, not Derby's, which was to pay off the previous loan for buying Pride Park the second time around. The HMRC debt of £28m?, they always do a deal, a percentage, and I'd be surprised if they ended up with much more than half. The Bielik debt is in stages, future payments, and similar with Jozwiak, that possibly only adds up to £2-3m combined presently due. Money that has to be paid to the EFL for fines will be deferred against money due from TV rights, Keogh, I might be wrong, but I think there is an appeal due with that in January? and then we have legal bills and administrator's costs, that will be approaching £5m I'd have thought. The government will pay for redundancies, and the smaller debtors, non-football related will, as usual, whistle for what they were owed. Wayne is probably due some and bonuses that never got paid to players. Just the banks left?

Could it be as little as £20m a potential new owner has to find? The supporters' groups were given 30 days to make an offer, they must have figures and give us a hint.

Common denominator? Please don't ask me for a job. ?

I've a fair idea he lives abroad, possibly somewhere East, maybe 4+ hours ahead of us - a few clues, particularly the fact that his posts are often after midnight our time. I'm thinking maybe somewhere sad ageing blokes go to exploit young women. I think, therefore, it's unlikely that he gets down the 'Gate' much these days.

    Ouch!!

I pray this will be done and dusted by the time we play Bournemouth. Hope it's only an extra 3 points which will give us a chance if we can get new faces in January and ownership sorted. We then know how many points we need to stay up. I am now rather upbeat as I can see Reading getting a 9 points deduction bringing them closer to us. I see back end of the season we are in a mini league of six teams where three will go down. I think the last home match against Cardiff will be bigger than the one against Wednesday last season! UTR

Can you let me know the lottery numbers for next week please?

  6. Just a thought. It is widely known that MM gambled and it didn't pay off. As such the club is suffering and he is away Scot free (albeit with a dented purse).

So the club are left to pick up the pieces.

However who sanctions the owner and checks them against the fit and proper scheme etc? would that be the EFL? Maybe we should give them a deduction and  fine.

Tongue in cheek obviously, but they should shoulder some of the blame for being inept.

100% agree ref Rooney making him captain !!!.

Shows  Rooneys  knowledge of football and management is very poor.

    Utter Baldocks.

Giving responsibility to someone who has had a troublesome past/struggled with personal problems or just not performing, often improves that person and gives them that sense of purpose to better themselves and in the main it does.

It doesn't appear to have made much difference in Lawrence's case.

However it does not in the slightest show that Rooney has a poor knowledge of football

Should have time off as in Rugby. The ref stops the watch as soon as a substitution is indicated. The player being substituted could then crawl off the pitch at 0.1 mph with no advantage being gained.

I agree totally and while we are at it, let's give ten minutes in the sin bin for the yellow cards.

The cynical last man tackle to break up an attack with no other punishment than a yellow card would soon stop
