We're not releasing Hourihane either. They aren't officially sanctioned fixtures and these are the only two players in their squad not on the extended international break.
We need them more than they do.

Whether we like it or not, we are still recovering from life saving surgery, and are now officially a "Minnow".
Not sure what some folk were expecting from tonight, but I for one am rather chuffed with where we are at this stage in our recovery, and equally so at HT in this particular game.
 

Our press just won a corner from them. We’ve made it to half time having had a few corners and a couple of half chances with the scores level, in my humble view it’s not as “embarrassing” as you’ve made out.
The reality of where we are as a club means there’s a gulf in class, if we were in the championship that would still be the case. Liverpool have recently won the premier league and the champions league and are one of the biggest clubs in the country with vast resources at their disposal. I’m enjoying the grit and resilience the lads are showing

Forsyth just said that the ref asked him if he was the one who fouled the forward for the penalty, so he clearly didn't see what happened and guessed it should be a sending off. Forsyth said to the ref that it wasn't up to him to tell the ref what happened.
To me it is a startling indictment of how bad the ref actually was.

“Dobbin went down a little too easily”…he beat the bloke on the outside and was going past him at pace only to be shoved off balance, not saying it’s a pen but poor take from the commentator and their player asking for a yellow, was never a dive 

Really? I thought he was very unlucky. There didn't seem anyone near him so he tried to control the ball on the end of his high foot and the player lunged in. There was no movement of foot towards the opponent. Has to be a foul, but nothing more. Ref playing to the crowd by producing a card.

Well, 2 points lost based on the standard of opposition. Really frustrating we're not putting more points on the board. Sibley MOTM for me, better delivery than Hourihane IMO from corners. Every ball was put right into the danger area. 

All in all, plenty to be encouraged with on that performance. We created plenty of chances, looked a bit shaky at the back at times, but ultimately were one level headed finish away from getting the points we deserved. I thought Sibley played very well, great deliveries into the box and looked a threat.

I really am not sure what some of you lot have been watching. We've been pretty decent, created a fair few chances, missed a penalty, should have been given another one. Another night, we're 2 or 3 nil up. Certainly not ideal to be behind, but also not the end of the world.
