it's the problem when you let states buy football clubs, politics gets dragged into it & people pick or choose sides based on foreign policy.

Every rule change they make is designed to stop anybody else threatening their position.
The Saudis have done some awful things, but it has to be the same rule for everybody - not just for them.
Yes obviously they are sport washing, but thats no different to Man City. Do the Premier League rules say you can't have government officials on the board? If thats the case you'd better let Man City know then. Why is it ok for Abu Dhabi to own a football club, but not for the Saudis to do the same?

I’d love to be in the Premier League doing a Brighton. They have an amazing scouting network and recruitment policy where they target young players with huge potential and happily sell them on to the big boys for silly money.
They’re fearless. Play attacking football. Can beat the better sides and look a good bet for a European run.
But Forest? Or Palace, Leeds, Southampton etc?
I’d rather watch my team play attacking, winning football in a lower league than survival football at the top.
Football is about entertainment. What is entertaining about clinging on to 1-0s hoping the game ends? I’d rather be winning 4-0 hoping the ref adds on another 10 minutes of time added on so we can get a fifth.

We have periods in our history where we play well and periods where we don't. Not that difficult to understand is it? Its part of the fun of being a football fan. 
Your attendance dropped off a cliff when you went down to league one and you've then spent the last 15 years incessentantly whinging about how terrible it was that you were subjected to the indignity of being in the third tier. You've had one good season in the last 30 years and now you think you're going to win the premier league.
Nigel would probably do pretty well in league one, but i am happy with the current arrangement thanks.

That's the crux of the matter - if we don't get promoted this season, it's not the end of the world - if the dogs get relegated after spaffing so much money on average players, they may well be completely stuffed - and it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch....

By your logic we'd just be watching an aging squad that we cant make additions to in tier 2 rather than tier 3 if we get promoted. Makes no difference then does it. Obviously thats a load of b******* and there is nothing stopping us adding players, but its your logic not mine.

I went to the game yesterday. Florist were absolutely terrible. Really poor. To be honest West Ham weren’t much better but they have some good players. The Red dogs fans starting leaving in their droves after the 2nd goal.

A pound to a penny the Forest fans who moaned about Lg1 were amongst the 15000 or so fans who stopped attending in those days.

I'd rather be wherever Derby are.

Weird. He’s had a bad game today, but a very good season so far. He’s played his part in the rebuilding of the club on the pitch this season, contributing to a great defensive effort and unbeaten run for a large chunk of the season….but yeh let’s revert to writing the bloke off after a decade of service to the club because of a poor game today (along with a number of his teammates) ??‍♂️

Clearly upped his game. Welcome to the premier league! Forest’s owner profiting in some part from the war in Ukraine then. To be honest it doesn’t matter which football club he owns, some things transcend football don’t they. Doesn’t agree with sanctions because it affects his profits no doubt. 

I think they had the same conversations around Al Capone.
