We got all nine points in one season they didn’t get all 12 points in one season

Whats your point? Its two different situations. We essentially got 3 x 3 point deductions for 3 breaches and would have got another 3 deducted if we breached the terms of the budget. How many breaches did Reading have? I suspect its two, but in either case no need for the woe is me stuff - we aren't being unfairly treated.

So we got it in full then ! Reading let off to survive and given a great chance to escape real punishment again  - sounds about normal

They are still getting a six point deduction. How is that being let off? Theyve already had another 6 deducted in a previous season. We only got 9 deducted for breaching the rules - hardly miles apart is it. If Reading enter administration i'm sure they'll be deducted another 12 like we were.

Cashin will be sold for the right money so we can strengthen and bird will be sold as for knight if he wants internationals he will be gone and surprised we haven’t added the year on unless it’s out of the business plan amount

Jason Knight plays for the Republic of Ireland - not a team of world beaters like France. Playing in League one isn't an impediment to playing for the national team and in any case he is still in the RoI squad this season. Wouldn't blame him for wanting to play at a higher level, but it's got nothing to do with playing for the national team.

Pretty pointless moaning about the manager then?

Why is it? We smash minnows like Ukraine and North Macedonia because we pour billions and billions of pounds into our footballing infrastructure and they usually can't compete with such riches. Virtually anybody could take the players we have and beat a team like North Macedonia.

However when we come up against other top teams who can also pour in similar amounts of cash factors such as the management team become extremely important. They can give one team the edge over the other and when it comes to big teams in competitive matches we regularly struggle.

Really outdated view in my opinion. Ukraine and North Macedonia will be made up of players that are playing across the top divisions in Europe. Malta I will grant you.

The reason we are still dispatching teams like Ukraine and North Macedonia is because we have a team full of quality internationals.

Maybe you should actually look where most of the players in Ukraine and North Macedonias squads are actually playing before accusing someone of having an outdated view.

North Macedonia has a benchwarmer for Napoli and a guy who never plays for Burnley in the Championship. The rest of their players are spread through leagues in the Balkans and the middle east. They are not playing in top leagues across Europe.

Ukraines squad is slightly better in that they have a couple of Prem players in the team, but again most of their players are playing in their own domestic league. The Ukrainian league does have some good teams, but they are not top tier teams and it certainly isn't one of the top leagues in Europe.

The reason we are still dispatching teams like these is because we invest a lot more money into our footballing infrastructure, because we are a lot richer. That is the only reason.

Bayern moved fast to ensure they got Tuchel before jobs like Spurs became more obviously available.

Now Conte's made his inevitable exit, hopefully Cooper is next to go.

We want Cooper to stay in place until at least the end of the season. They are bottom of the form table and dropping like a stone. Don't want any kind of new manager bounce over there

  7. People like to moan as you have so clearly demonstrated by starting a thread to moan about other people.

People pay a lot of money to go to these games and if they don't like what they've seen there is absolutely no problem with them making that known to the people who made it happen.

So which Wigan talents are we going to snatch for free? Seems to be the way the football family works...

I truly feel sorry for them...a horrible situation to be in.

We stole 2 players from them for dirt cheap last time they were in trouble and they got revenge by low balling us for Shinnie. I hope we don't take advantage again even if we do need all the free players we can get.

Hope they can get an owner who can last more than a few months this time.

With the loss on Saturday, we are now the least likely team currently in the play offs to finish there.

Such a poor result and performance.

Does that probability mean the likelihood of us staying in the playoff places or the likelihood of us being promoted through the playoffs?

We still have a chance of autos according to that.

I think I read that Blackburn are the only side yet to play at the new Wembley.

I’m not sure if they meant in the top two leagues or throughout the entire EFL.

I read somewhere that Ipswich hadn't played there either, but not sure if thats still the case

Think they're playing Wolves at home on the 1st April, not away.

That one has a classic 1-0 s******** win for Forest all over it.

Just hope I'm wrong and Cooper's the April Fool.

When I say at Wolves I don't mean its at their ground. I just mean the match.

As long as the good teams turn up the only winnable home games they have left are Southampton and Wolves. ANd they are s*** away from home, so no worries there

The £4500 wage cap was last season when in Admin. This season, under the business plan agreed with the EFL, we have a £12K a week limit and a maximum spend of £8M.

Not just transfer fees we can't pay. No loan fees and no agent's fees as well. There is, apparently, a review this summer and we MIGHT get some relaxation of the plan...

Ah interesting. Thank you for the clarification.

Its a lot more than i thought we could spend!

£8 Million a year on wages does seem a lot for League 1. Some players getting over half a mill per year. There won’t be much in the “War Chest” at this rate. Hope some players really want Championship football and are not enjoying this league too much.

I couldnt find any details on it, so i could be entirely making it up but i thought we were operating under a wage cap of something like £4500 for new players? Some of the wages seem a bit high if thats the case.

Or was it just that we couldnt pay transfer fees?
