I think they're much better as a partnership. And it's great of the club that we can watch these academy games in such a professional way. Even if I was distracted by events in Westminster tonight do didn't see that much of the game! 

I'm sure they'd be grateful for the offer, better for the dog to get walked, and better that the owner won't have to clean mess up when they get in.

because we don't have to do it day after day, year after year. And we don't have to deal with lack of staff, resources, funding, mis-management, unrealistic targets etc etc
I bet almost all of us have a story about that **** in the health service that didn't treat us/a friend/a family member as we might have hoped. It makes sense. When we're at our most vulnerable we need them the most. We have understandably high expectations. But if we're being non-judgemental we should probably extend that to "the professionals" who are doing a very tough job under difficult circumstances. They may have just been having a bad day...

Didn’t quite work out, we actually get into Derby Friday arvo so I’m looking for a good place to watch the game from. We’re staying in central city area.

I'd just like to say thanks to the people who responded positively/humourously to my previous posts in this thread.
While my problem was more physical than mental, the unexpected speed at which I was admitted to hospital and had surgery caught me well off balance, mentally speaking.
I hope those who are really struggling find the way to open up to someone, anyone who they think can help, it's not a weakness to ask, I only wish I could summon the same courage personally.
 

Yes - not saying we shouldn't talk about it, but maybe needs a separate thread and keep this one to more personal experiences and a safe place to chat about our own mental health. I think the people who need a thread like this the most will likely be deterred from posting if it just becomes a big debate about the nuances of health provision

That’s awful,I had a similar experience a few years ago,friend at work who I could tell was down,spoke to him one Sunday to ask him if he was ok.
I’m fine,was the answer,went home had some form of argument with his wife who left with his 2 daughters.
When they came home Monday morning he had hanged himself from the bannister,it’s one of the many reasons why I take such an interest in this thread.
I remember work calling me on the Monday,I was just parking up in Sheffield.
I hope he gets the help he needs.
