Exactly my thought.  Goes back to the EFL standing back whilst Perm Boy shafted us, along with Cou-Pig.  How on earth can other clubs decide whether we stay or go.  I've said several times I wouldn't wish this on other clubs, but the way some have behaved, I might have a different view now.

When the EFL see that sort of CV, they'll be inviting him to join their board.....

Sounds a likely candidate for the EFL board!

So basically the ideal candidate to pass the EFL's fit and proper test then.

Finished the latest episodes of Stranger Things season 4. Really wasn't prepared for how dark this season was going to be, but after adjusting my expectations following that first episode I loved it.
One episode (if you've seen it you can probably guess which one) had me weeping at the end. What a great use of a classic song.
The child actors are definitely more like adults now, but I can suspend my disbelief long enough to ignore it. Can't wait for the last two episodes to drop.

I've actually taught self defence to women and the first form for any defence is basically get out of there, scream, shout, run. Only fight as a last resort.  Sadly, no matter how good you may be, unless you get the first hit in it's a lottery from there and when it's a woman against an animal like that; two of them in this case, then there's not much she, or an average guy could do to be honest.  Jiu Jitsu is a great MA but as a basic self defence for anyone, not just women, go for the soft areas especially groin, throat, upper lip (grab hard and twist), nose and of course eyes. Stamp down their shin, or on to their foot as hard as you can, especially if you have heels on.  And use your elbows if in close.  Jab your elbow up into his face as hard as you can and even for a small girl, you can drop a full grown man that way. There is no such thing as a clean fight especially when defending yourself against animals.
I really hope they're caught. Absolute scum.  Doubt it's their first such offence and if they're not caught, it won't be their last.   But more importantly, I really hope she recovers, mentally and physically.

You’ve done some great posts over the last couple of days, I think you have hit the nail on the head succinctly and accurately. Welcome BTW. ?

As to the EFL, we differ. Whilst Mel shoulders the greatest responsibility for Derby’s debts I don’t see the EFL as a scapegoat. Quite the reverse. They have behaved appallingly for the last 2 years. Riven with self interest and pressure groups, cowardly over Borough and Wycombe. Plain biased when it came to the judgments of their own independent committees. The weasel statements over Covid loans, the passive hand washing acceptance of other clubs misdemeanours, truly dreadful.
Their latest statement is much more logical. I really can see it from their view and they are probably right to say it for the good of the competition. Their past history though, is another story, an ugly one bereft of morality, decency, neutrality  and sportsmanship.

I think it is basically about the poor communication. Kirchner was happy to communicate via Twitter when it was all going well and looking positive.
However, now that there are obstacles in the way - whether they are genuine delays at the bank or doubts about actual funding - he has gone completely silent. Aggressively so, in the case of Dan Roan. He didn't even tweet about his beloved golf at the recent event.
That silence has made people wonder if he really is the real deal or an Alonso type tyre kicker.
I think he does genuinely want to buy the club but it does not auger well when he cannot resolve a money transfer which, even at 20 million, is relatively small in such business circles.
The other thing about the communication issue is that it's easy to communicate when things are going well but it's relatively of little value. It's actually when things are not going so well that people are more desperate for information. That's when we would appreciate more briefings. We want to know what's happening.
I still want Kirchner's bid to succeed. I think it's the best chance to keep the academy, Rooney and some of the feel good atmosphere from last year. Though the longer this drags on, the more that feeling is being eroded.
So, even I have lost a lot of my enthusiasm for CK. My second choice would be Appleby/Morgan/Clowes. Sorry MA, you're in next to last place but still preferable to liquidation.

Good Morning all, I hope you all slept well.
I spoke to my friend last night at 11-30pm, A little about my friend, He knows several ex DCFC directors, Had/Has business dealings with them and is an extremely good golfer and has a very good business, Yesterday at golf(no not with CK)he was with one ex DCFC director, This director fed him the information I gave and he said and I quote "I expect Steve Morgan to be the new owner come 5pm this evening".
Now this is where the fun starts, Q knew Monday afternoon there was an issue with the money but sat on it, They were blinded by CKs credentials and patter, Dawes breaks some news concerning wages being paid by someone at DCFC and not CK, The person who gave him this info was a senior DCFC player who was promised certain things, The player I do not know his name.
Q after Dawes revelations went into panic mode, My friend and Q knew of the wages not being paid to CKs employers on Wednesday, Some ex DCFC directors don't seem to be that impressed with CK, They think he's a braggart a little loud but likes to be liked, On a personnel note my friend thinks a little jealousy has crept in with how CK made his money...ie got lucky.
Q now have a mountain to climb, According to Dorset, Percy, Nixon, Dawes and anyone else who's reported the story they seem to be batting for their PB/Owner, Whether it be Morgan, Appleby, Ashley or even Kirchner who knows?‍♀️, Q and the EFL are at odds with each other and have been for several months, It looks like the EFL are trying to put all the blame on Q as the paperwork they saw for the fit and proper owner came from Q.
My friend said he stands by on what he was told yesterday, Most of us will have someone in our group that like to bluster and maybe give out a little BS, My friend is not one of those types, He's a genuine person who I'd stand up for and is not afraid to stand up for his mates.
    Chins up all....Alf

But that isn’t what Quantuma’s statement said is it Mr EFL? It’s so hard to work out what the truth is with none of the facts and all the various speculation and slightly contradictory statements throughout the process.
Also the language in the EFL statement seems inappropriately emotive and almost inflammatory to me

Tried desperately all day to focus on work but have sadly dipped in and out here and on Twitter.  Fighting with every ounce to cling to some form of positivity but it's not looking great is it.  My only hope is that I thought he'd sent the £20m already - if you were going to pull out why bother committing the funds.  Unless UK banks have blocked it on the basis they're not happy with the answers to their source of funds questions so even if he wants to complete the deal, he may not actually be allowed.
Either way, I'm taking a social media break tonight.  Can't deal with this.  Going to binge The Midwich Cuckoos and play spot the location since it was all filmed round me which will hopefully take my mind off everything. Maybe.
