Come on then @CWC1983, @Alpha, @coneheadjohn, @Ted McMinn Football Genius, @Bris Vegas and anyone else i've forgotten.

We've seen them both come in lighter, Parker has had elbow operations and by all reports is punching hard, although I believe he is giving away a 9 inch reach. What round number and winner are we going for?

    Joshua on points for me.

Nights like this is exactly why Boxing is such an exciting sport. We all know what should happen but theres always the 1 punch that can change things.

Common sense says Joshua in the later rounds after his power and jab wears Parker down........however,

Theres something about Parker in the build up that I like, and I think he might rattle AJ. Wouldnt be surprised if Parker decided to test AJ's chin in the early rounds.

Can AJ resist the temptation to go all out and get it over quickly if he hurts Parker early?

Decision time........Joshua in round 5. Round 1 feeling each other out then all out slug fest.  It'll make good tv.

The undercard? Id love to see David Price beat Povetkin but highly unlikely. He's had some fall from grace but Steve Bunce has written a good article about him today. Price basically admits he's been brought in as a patsy tonight, but every underdog has his day.

Oh, nice to see the corruption was in place just in case it went to points.

Wilder ahead on all 3 cards? I could see him getting 2 rounds plus a 10-8 round.

    That's 84- 86?

To put him ahead they found him 2 more rounds? Where?

I knew the result of the Easton fight before it aired on C5 so I didnt watch it.

I listened to the end of the Brook show on Talksport and the presenters were calling on Eddie to make the fight with Khan assp.

The early finish meant talksport had an hour to fill and they replayed "My sporting life" where Danny Kelly interviewed Carl Froch. Fascinating listen as he talked through his career from Amateur to Groves.

Just catching up with Wilder Ortiz. Seems like he answered a few questions. I can see a stadium super fight looming towards the end of the summer. It will be a genuine 50 50 one.

I saw the Yarde and Dubois fights.

Dubois managed to win by a 3rd round KO and his reputation would have actually gone down. He struggled massively with such a obvious and poorly executed smother tactic. DL Jones had heart and chin but wow he looked poor. Dubois being mentioned in the same sentence as Joshua at the minute is unbelievable and yet the media are on it.

Yarde isn't being tested enough imo. Boring mismatches by Warren

Never seen Gorman. He's not very good then?

Rooting for Dave Allen tomorrow. Commonwealth title shot 2.

Re Gorman:  he reminded me of Fury in his early days, big lad but flabby and bullied his opponent into submission.

Agree about Yarde, he looks the part but needs tested.

Just watched Brooks greatest hits on sky mix. God knows where I was in 2010 - 2015 but I cant remember many of his fights.

I went back to the pub in Thurlaston to see when the Clinton Mitchell promotion was on.......it was a poster from 2016.. ...

  4. A week late to comment, however I watched a few bouts on the BT sport card last week and the Ronnie Clark v Zelpha Barrett fight was a classic.

Big upset seeing Clark win, but his experience helped. Mind you, he's got a bit of a ropey past.......

Next up was Daniel Dubois, his opponent was ex army and game. Dubois didnt impress, im not convinced the Warren stable has a genuine heavyweight contender with him.

They were also talking up Nathan Gorman, but blimey, talk about out of shape and labouring to a win.....

On to tomorrow and Kel Brook.  It seems to have passed the mainstream press over. Lets see if he still has the desire if he takes a few decent shots.

  5. 5 live Bunce and Costello podcast this morning pretty much saying father and son need to split up.

At the press conference Eubank senior saying that Jnr didn't listen to a word of advice during the fight.

Talksport had Bellew, McGrory and John Rawlings doing the live coverage.

It was a really good listen as they covered all upcoming fights at home and abroad.

All 3 of them are concerned for Joshua if he fights Wilder.

Yeah, I think the guy didn't fancy it as soon as a right hook took him in the temple during the opening minute. Body shots looked heavy.

The KO punch didn't look THAT heavy. Reckon he was looking for an exit?

His first fight was more impressive. He cruised past Lewison. Really beat him up and it could have been stopped earlier.

For some reason Hughie Fury is fighting Sexton for the British title. Dave Allen fights soon for the commonwealth and you've got Chisora and Dubois that are probably sticking on the domestic circuit for this year.

Some good scraps could be made.

Im maybe not giving Joyce enough credit given its only his 2nd pro fight.

Off topic, I was in a Derbyshire pub last Sunday and from afar I saw a poster promoting a Clifton Mitchell promotion at the Derby arena. I forgot to look at the detail before I left but cant find anything online.

  7. Cant pick between Groves or Eubank. Froch reckons Groves punch power might see him through.

It will be interesting to see Eubank take a punch. Im sort of hoping Eubank wins, I like his swagger.

Hayemaker productions on Dave tonight. Waiting for Joe Joyce to step into the ring.

    Haye looks thin ringside.

The growing trend for people to get their stories in the media for 'nothing' stories.

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/5307810/asda-shopper-car-parking-fine-visit-supermarket-twice-day/

This guy went to asda twice in one day and they sent him a fine saying he had been there over 3 hours.

The company involved obviously accepted it was a mistake and cancelled the charge.

It happened to me once in Tesco, i went in the morning on way to work and then again on way home, got a £100 fine, what did i do? Contact them and say i think you have made a mistake, or get my picture in the paper looking depressed about it?

Jeez, mistakes happen get on with it. These people probably think they are going to get some 'compo' by going to the press because of all the stress it caused. FFS get a life.

And today's "nothing" story. 22 year old girl stays 2 seconds longer in a car park in Burton than she's allowed. Gets  £100 fine, appeals to the Car park company and gets the fine cancelled.

Her next move: tell the Daily Mail and get her gob in the paper..........the 5 selfies with her duck pout and low plunging tops are obviously a way for her to tell the horrific story......

My first day back at work tomorrow having been off for 2 months.

Have felt the anti depressants have been working but getting real feelings of anxiety right now, almost like having pins and needles all over.

Trying to take my mind off it so will probably post some rubbish on here, hopefully I won't offend anyone, if I do apologies in advance.

Post as much rubbish as you like.

First step back tomorrow, you were always going to feel anxious tonight. Blimey, I feel the same after 2 weeks off in the summer after a holiday.

It will get better as each day passes, and you get into a routine.

    All the best for tomorrow.

Goose Island IPA, followed by Brewdog Punk IPA.

My daughter gave me a dozen craft beers for Christmas, and I'm gradually working through them. I chose these two to drink in succession for obvious reasons - Goose Island is a 'classic' USA craft beer that has been in itself a take on a classic style (India Pale Ale) which I thought, 15 years ago, was a little over the top.

Well, how perceptions change with time. The Goose Island IPA now seems well-balanced to the point of being 'tame' - not boring though, but a finish that starts sweet and malty before the hops kick in.

Brewdog Punk IPA, on the other hand, is about as subtle as a brick. Surprisingly enough, it is less 'bitter' than the Goose Island IPA (45 IBU to 55 IBU), but of course it's over-loaded with the 'C' hops which are so heavy on alpha acids which gives it a throat-puckering grapefruit bitterness.

Can I choose between the two? No, not really - both do exactly what they say on the tin. It's not my favourite style of beer by a long chalk, but both are excellent examples of the genre. However, they will be followed by a large malt whisky to cleanse the palate before I nail a St Bernardus Abt 12 as a nightcap.

Try Brewdog Slot Machine. 660ml bottles from Asda for £3. For me, a slightly smoother drink than Punk.

  11. For those interested, talksport have a 2 hour boxing show every Saturday night, 10pm - midnight.

Gareth A Davies co hosts it, and it's been a good listen. They cover boxing across the globe, not just the uk.

Tyson Fury phoned up for a chat a few weeks ago. He's apparently on the show this Saturday as well.

  12. I've read a few other comments about Rams tv being on the monitors in the concourse but with no sound.

My lipreading isn't what it used to be, so it would be good to listen to the interviews and comments pre match.

@OwenB557 any chance you could run round the concourses about 2pm with a remote and turn each one up, or perhaps have a word with someone to see if we can listen to the experts on tv.

    Cheers.

Bellew vs Haye rescheduled for 5 th May

I wonder how many people will shell out for this one given Haye's recent history of pulling out of fights?

Must admit, I'm a bit underwhelmed by the thought of them going through another build up. It got a bit boring the last tine.

  14. Channel 5 has a few fights from Leicester. Joe Hughes up next fighting for a European title.

He has a physical condition where his right hand side of his upper body is not as fully grown as his left.. His left arm is 2 inches longer than his right and he can't fully turn his right hand over which affects his hooks and uppercut.

He's up against a Swedish fighter. Away to start now.

  15. First 3 rounds he looked brilliant but his work rate faded as the Mexican came on strong. The better eye catching shots were from Frampton but as Steve Bunce said at the end, if the fight was in Mexico then the verdict may have been different.

It was a 10 rounder, and if he was made to go another 2 rounds then he might of been in trouble.

Frank Warrens promising an open air Windsor Park world title fight in the summer.

  16. Just watched the Benn v Mcclellan fight again. Brutal.

I remember watching it live on ITV and thinking it was the best fight id seen.

I've never seen the after fight interviews and reactions before. It doesn't show Benn in the best light, but shows Don King to be the knob I thought he was.

With hindsight, you could tell the way McClellan's gum shield was hanging out and his blinking from round 7 that something was wrong.
