Bessie1 reacted to davenportram in Wildsmith needs a talking to.
Didn’t have to fake being hit on the head though. Could get a player sent off

Well said. It was embarrassing. Should’ve been booked. Let’s hope Warne has a word.

Not his shot stopping but his shithousery.
After Peterbrough got their second one of their players took the ball off him and he went down holding his head. He was not touched on his head. He stayed down and got treatment for a fake injury.
I hate faking, but faking head contact is just trying to get a player sent off. Needs stamping out the game.

Yes you're right I'm sorry.
Though having a fixation about Peterborough is worrying on a totally separate level 😏

Depends where we finish i guess. But seeing as we finished 7th last season and arguable the teams that got promoted are better than what came down, we should be a top 6 this season.
So far we haven't been at the races, whether thats due to the players or how Warne's using them is up for debate. However, we haven't replaced McGoldrick and we do look very one paced. Big 10 days ahead in the window i'd say.

Or how many fans of L1 teams would swap their manager for ours.

regardless of the formation, i'm just not sure warne has the tactical nouse for anything other than get the ball down the line and cross it in

We ended last season badly. Pre-season made us think he had got going again. Now some fans aren't sure, many weren't anyway.
He's already had his credit for his previous Club, this is like the 'be thankful we have a Club still' meme, when does it run out?

I just don't believe that the players signed aren't all Warne's choice. He could have said ermmm no, we need pace so not that one. I imagine he thought the budget pot would stretch further than it has.

Bessie1 reacted to Bris Vegas in Derby vs Fleetwood - Match Thread
My narrative has always been that Warne’s record against the better teams was dire.
Posh beat Derby, Plymouth, Barnsley, Pompey and Wednesday last season. That’s 15 points right there.
In the same fixtures Warne scored 2 points.
If Warne has replicated Rosenior’s PPG against the better sides we would have finished in the top six.
The reason we didn’t was because we were awful anytime we played anyone remotely good.
These were the figures of the league table season between the top half only.
Top half teams points tallies vs teams in the top half
Plymouth 43
Ipswich 41
Sheff Wed 39
Barnsley 34
Bolton 33
Charlton 29
Lincoln 28
Posh 26
Wycombe 24
Derby 22 (TEN points under Rosenior)
Pompey 17
Shrewsbury 16
This is the reason why we missed out on the playoffs. And this is what we must rectify this season.

Let's be fair Fleetwood either raised their game a few notches or they actually are a half decent unit.

Yes. That stat goes back to last season. Dross then, dross now. What's changed? All these games are decided by fine margins. A bit of Didzy magic here, a shocking backpass by Bradley there.
Unlike most it seems I don't believe we are suddenly that much worse than we were last season. We don't seem to have improved at all that's the worry but it's still early days.

Have you not seen the comments on here and twitter? I know they don’t represent the whole fanbase but the tide in my opinion seems to be changing against Warne as the matches go by.
The toxicity isn’t going to magically go away. So either it gets spelled out that promotion could take 4 seasons and DC is happy with that or he says nowt and the heat continues to get turned up on Warne and the squad.

If the players were being set up in a way that is coherent and plays to their strengths and they are still looking like a confused, disorganised rabble then fair enough I'd take your point.
This isn't about player power. This is about an evident disconnect between the way the players are suited to playing and the way they are being told to play. It's the managers job to fix that. The players can't just unilaterally decide to act against Warne's instructions. They are doing a they are told and as a squad they are less than the sum of their parts for that reason.

Warne's coaching is the reason our back three is constantly exposed and under pressure. When defenders are exposed and under pressure they are more likely to make mistakes.
Warne's coaching is why we end up with a striker that is massively isolated feeding off scraps because we have no structure to our attacking play beyond run it down the flanks and try to cross it, or failing that just lump it up bypassing our midfield entirely and handing the ball back to the opposition.
Warne's coaching is why we are unable as a team to regularly string more than three or four passes together.
Warne's coaching is why we are easy to play against, predictable, and have lost three home games on the spin. Bar a second half Burton meltdown we have been second best for almost every half of football we have played this season.

Bessie1 reacted to cstand in Is this the worst Derby County side in the club's 139 year history?
Our own players have more goal assists for the opposition than us tells you everything about this team.
-
Bessie1 reacted to G-Ram in Is this the worst Derby County side in the club's 139 year history?
Not the worst side for the division we are in
We have a goalkeeper thats good for this division. Allegedly the best young CB in the division. An ex prem midfielder & young future prem midfielder according to our ex-manager
We arnt too bad out wide with NML
We lack a CF but Waggy should get goals in this division
We lack depth. But in terms of our best 11 all playing in their proper position then we should be able to beat anyone in this division
The problem is the coaching, tactics & management

Bessie1 reacted to Bris Vegas in Explain this to me
Football has swallowed up many successful businessmen. I’m sure DC will be a big success but just because something has worked elsewhere doesn’t mean it will work here.

Bessie1 reacted to alram in Explain this to me
its the overall direction
why sign 2 strikers over 31 when by the own managers account he wanted younger players?
it just sums up the aimless nature of our recruitment which has been absolute tripe this summer
we have absolutely no athletism and i would like to see one team with none of that that is successful because you wont find one at this level when you are getting out run every week
