He’s not quick though. FFS if we’re spending that much just buy Liam Kitching.

We just need someone to mock up an image of him with a Rams tattoo and it’s all golden 😉

That’s on about Coventry in for Kitching rather than Bird. Headline is misleading, but obviously knew viewers would spike mentioning Derby.
Following on from news that Coventry are in for Kitching I can neither confirm or deny reports that I’m doing some freelancing work for the Sky Blues.

Is it black then?

WarneOut is most likely a pithy comment about the players fitness levels at 60 minutes onwards 😉

So from highlights and an echo chamber of like minded people. That actually doesn't strengthen the point made.
An echo chamber of like minded people? You mean like the squad he’s created?

Pre-ordered my copy of the new Ryan Conway book. Looking forward to it and as a Cocu fan boy I’m eager to get the inside track on what really happened there.

Ultra pressing, aka gegenpress, was popularised by Klopp. It’s not an underdog tactic.
We’ve been trying to replicate the gegenpress? The one that relies on relentless pressing and pace to exploit opposition mistakes?
It does explain a lot and is quite inspirational. In fact it’s inspired me to milk the neighbours cat and use it as the base ingredient for an award winning Brie. Can’t see how either me or the Warnemeister can possibly fail!

Crazy idea only because Warne needs his team to go up this season. If he doesn’t achieve that he will be toast with many fans. He isn’t going to chance a young, raw striker when he thinks Sharp or Rhodes offers him greater certainty of short term gain.
I also think Warne has painted himself into a corner on getting promoted this year.
He’s signed ready made experienced players. They’re all talking about not messing around and making memories etc.
Then he admits the squad still has the same structural issues as last year.
He might have been cut more slack if he’d brought in some youth and pace and admitted some were a gamble but that he was building the foundations for several seasons of success and growth.

Can’t help thinking that Hogan, Jutkiewicz and Pritchard are all 30 or over and high wages.
12k a week for 2 years means you’re spending 1.2mil on each one you sign.
My argument all along has been there’s better ways of spending your money.

I think alot of people have quickly forgotten how close we were to going bust. The fact there was limited potential buyers for a club that has 30k gates, premier league training facilities etc should tell you just how much of a financial mess MM left us in.
The best thing DC can do imo is continue working to a strict budget over the next couple of years, then either look to sell or bring on investors once the balance sheets are properly sorted.
Can I be clear that I did not and do not want us to spend beyond our means or budget.
I do question the strategy behind our spending this year. We are short on numbers, youth, pace and aggression.
The pursuit of Jordan Rhodes being a case in point. For the cost of his wages we could have brought in two or three younger players (including small fees).

Well there is a perfect example of Warnes frailties.
If Springett was even half decent we would be back in for him, not forgetting Warne knows everyone at Norwich very well (even plays bowls with my mates dad that way, or at least used too).
If Springett isn't good enough this season, why make the signing in January? Absolute desperation.
I’ve watched Warne’s post match interview on the Derby site this morning.
The most frightening part was that he alluded to there being shortcomings with the squad last year that still persist now.
As he’s apparently already blown most of this year’s budget on the wages of experienced players so you’ve got to wonder how many years it might take to get the squad he wants?

I've seen enough from last season and today (summer included) to know that Paul Warne will not be here come next season.
Book mark it and ram it in my face if I'm wrong.
Tactically very naive and he clearly struggles when it comes to transfers. He talks a good game, but that's about ya lot.
Don’t be ridiculous, we’ve got this year’s Tony Springett to come in yet.
