Ramos got a reaction from ck- in The Administration Thread
Which meaning of the word are they using? As in the old fashioned it’s going to be momentarily or the new found meaning of in a few weeks?

When you think about it - how has this day gone so wrong even for Derby County ??.
Some of us actually believed we could be naming a preferred bidder today, instead we have ended up under a new embargo and with one of our players leaving immediately.
Every-time you think it can’t get any worse it somehow does. Its got to the point where if you don’t laugh about it you’ll cry.

It will say
‘we would like to reassure supporters that quantuma continues to make positive progress on discussions with all interested parties. We expect to within seconds, probably before finishing this sentence, name the preferred bidder.
“Current reports in the media are wide of the mark, Phil jagielka won’t be playing tomorrow, in a bid to raise awareness of why transfer embargo’s are so important in our modern society.
“we would also like to reassure fans that although you can see us at the garden party with boris, we were there only to celebrate the imminent naming of our preferred bidder. Not for a work party.”

I think this situation is a little confusing and surely, surely the only thing that rectifies these things is naming a preferred bidder?
I find it difficult to understand why we still can’t name a preferred bidder today. If the EFL are saying you can’t sign players till you show proof of funds. Surely we should be getting preferred bidder over the line before even thinking about trying to get contracts sorted etc? None of this as a narrative is making any sense (not that it has most the time anyway). I still feel like these stories coming out aren’t sitting right with what Wayne claimed to be communicated yesterday or what the admins said earlier this week.
And why exactly does the admins need to tell staff about proof of funds at this point? Seems an odd thing to me to have to tell your entire workforce until there’s something actionable. Percy has probably read this forum seen the message about meetings and put two and two together. His credibility in my eyes has been shot these last two years.
