I hope so. The players deserve a sell out, but I just think that some fans don`t see the FA Cup as being important anymore, which is such a shame.

It certainly seems to be doesn`t it?
I dare say that you would get the standard soundbyte reply of "All are welcome to apply to the board" but in reality as the history of RT suggests, unless your face fits and you vote a certain way, you don`t stand a chance.
Its a closed shop, or at least that`s how it seems. I`m sure that they preach diversity and agree with it, so why appoint people to the board with different politcal perspectives? After all, this should be about DCFC not politics?

Who voted in this new election?
How come someone is co-opted as second in command and not from the existing board?
Is being a member of the Labour Party an un-written pre-requisite of joining RT, as they seem to be Labour councillors, Labour election candidates etc?

There are still over 7000 tickets available for this.
Hopefully as its payday for a lot of people on Friday and Jan has been a long month lots of fans will buy tickets over the weekend as anything less than close to capacity for this is a bit disappointing imo.
The "Its on TV" argument doesn`t really wash with me either unless you live miles away. It certainly hasn` put W Ham fans off making a 300 mile round trip on a Monday as they have sold out of their 4500 allocation

I agree to a certain degree. He tried and failed, and its far better to try and fail, than to not try at all. His issue was that he made managerial mistakes, be it sacking managers too early or appointing the wrong ones in the 1st place. What he cant be accused of is not backing any of the managers.
There a quite a lot of parallels right now between Moshiri at Everton and DCFC. He too has spent a truckload of money, but his managerial appointments have been a disaster and Everton are now much worse off.

If we can get near sell out for League games against Accrington Stanley then why can't we for West Ham. It's the fourth round of the FA Cup and we could beat these with good backing from the crowd

Likewise - it was absolutely excellent. Derby's catering has a lot to learn. Sorry to hear that they didn't have enough to go round all, sure they're used to small crowds but this has been sold out for weeks now.

The BBQ outside the turnstiles was absolutely fantastic, the best food I've had at a stadium in a long time.

There's no way their fans are saying the referee was awful for them! He literally gave them everything! The amount of fouls he didn't give to us yet any time we went near them he gave a foul?

That's ridiculous, if Accrington went into administration tomorrow, are you saying that their new owners would have the same budget restrictions as Derby, whilst averaging less than 3k attendances?
The restrictions are linked to costs of running the stadium and such like and also linked to the expected income of the club.

Haven't the club already been punished enough, with relegation, demolition of the academy and restrictions on spending regardless of income? Remember DC is a new owner with no connections to those who committed the offences.
The ban on spending money on transfer fees has no merit whatsoever regarding the future stability of the club, it can only be detrimental, if anything.

I totally agree that restrictions should be in place to ensure that we trade at around break even, but it is scandalous that not only are we given a budget, but that we are told how to spend that budget. Paying small transfer fees out of our wages budget can do no harm to our financial position, quite the contrary, actually.
Where is the financial sense that you can pay an old timer £250k a year but not be able to sign a promising youngster for £50k and pay him £150k per year?

Just got home, I'm hoarse, got sore knees from too much bouncing and ringing in my ears from the absolute bonkers noise in the away end.
It's nights like these that David Clowes has given us back when they were so nearly taken away from us.
As for arguing about budgets and squad values, tonight of all nights!  There's only one thing you need to know - the togetherness of owner, squad, fans - it is priceless.

Good spot. Tonight when Fozzy put him through on goal and he hit the keeper, you could see him physically crumple. Didzy immediately took his arm and geed him up and the lad just went again. These are things that seem so insignificant, but in the end mean so much. There's more camaraderie in this squad than any in recent memory IMO and it's wonderful to witness.

Disappointing if don't get close to 30k for this.
It's almost as if 12 months ago was a distant memory,  everyone rallying behind the club, the march etc.
We'll look like a small time club with the away end sold out, outsinging the 1/3rd empty home end.
I know it's on terrestrial TV on  Monday night, but it is reasonably priced. 95% of the WHU fans are making the journey from London.......
"Derby are massive, everywhere we go!" Not a chance and embarrassing if we sing that!
I'm just hoping that the closer it gets to the game it sparks more interest,  a chance to show the audience why we were making a song and dance about saving our club.

I`m slightly worried that they feel that Danny Baath is a better player. Baath is awful.
However, in Warne we have to trust.

That's why I wish Mel had kept funding the Club. I really would have liked to see him take the EFL to court over the points deductions and Gibson to court over the extortion.

Quantuma, DC and even CK all said how helpful SP had/has been.  If DC didn’t want him around he’d have gone by now.  I think he was MM’s scapegoat.  MM was a business man.  It’s well known he interfered with the football side of the club which, arguably, is the bit he knew least about.  Imagine what he would be like when it came to running the financial side, something he had vast experience in throughout his career.  He must have been a nightmare to work with/for.

Pretty clear that behind the veneer, Morris was a raging egomaniac. I'm more inclined to believe that Pearce was the one left desperately trying to hold everything together, than the one of the principal causes. In truth, only Morris, Q and Mr Clowes would really know and both of the latter two have supported him to the hilt. Perhaps that should be good enough for us fans, though it's completely understandable that some find it hard to give him a clean slate.
Whatever the truth, I'd now much rather look forward, than back. The books, by all accounts, look good and the curve is upward. Time to let it go perhaps?

He was a non shareholding Director and ultimately simply a paid employee like everyone else at the club, with a family to support. He has the ear of Mel, but had zero power to make decisions.
His only course of action to remove himself would be to resign, but that would mean no income at a time when the world was suffering from the effects of the pandemic and not many companies were hiring. How many people could simply walk out on a well paid job?
Hopefully, he has learnt lessons? By all accounts he is very good at his job and well thought of in the footballing world so maybe he is trying hard to redeem himself by helping make DCFC a stable and successful club once more?
