This is me, Cash is not the issue, Time is not the issue, It's that I find todays football has been sanitised by those we can't see, Taking the knee, VAR, New rules that make a simple game a little more complicated, Feigning injury...yes it's been in the game for years, Now it's a tactic to break the game up, Referees, The spontaneity has gone altho not affected in the EFL...Yet!

Maybe if the TV company decided to keep the kick offs to 15:00pm Saturdays more people would turn up. 12:00pm on a Sunday was a horrible kick off time. We're not a Premier League tourist team who will fill the ground regardless of date and time.

CK wasn't my proffered choice until I realised Rooney knew of him and backs him. He was described by Percy as being the dream buyer as he was in cahoots with a big football agent, Stretford.
CK is an unknown but if Rooney is backing him, Alan Nixon claims he is very wealthy, Simon Jordan claims he is very wealthy, the administrators claim he is very wealthy, the only people doubting him are 40 year old men from chad, me ?
I'm intrigued to see the bid from Appleby, Rush and Moxey though, I have a feeling they have a very wealthy backer, so wealthy that they are letting the money do the talking, just my guess.

?????????? This season, at home, has largely been great. Sure we lack goals which for me is important; but weighed against that, the level of togetherness in the team, the much noiser supportive fans, the endeavour and fighting spirit, have all given me huge enjoyment and Sunday was a corker of game.

They can piss right off. It’s our league in the first place. They should think themselves lucky we haven’t kicked them out.

Anyone else finding it really frustrating that MM started this fight with the EFL, runs away from it, puts us into admin then we have the book thrown at us and the EFL can carry on with their bullying ways and we’re left to look like the bad guys hated by everyone.
He had two options for me keep fighting what he started whatever the cost, if the EFL are in the wrong let everybody see it.
Or option two should’ve held his hands up, he’s not as smart as he thought he was, take the 9 point deduction and sell the club for whatever he could.
Instead he’s royally shafted us it’s unforgivable, no matter how much he put in, his ego has ruined our club.

the reason Derby County Football Club went into administration is so so simple..... Mel Morris stopped putting in the money to keep them out of administration.....that is it, nothing else....If he was still pumping money into the club we would not be in administration.

Everything the EFL wants is being leaked to the gutter press, the same gutter press who asked no questions about Ridsdale fit for purpose for a role on the EFL board, all in it together it stinks.
Share issue by Bristol City,  7/11/2019 £71 million Landsdown transferred them to himself to write off club debt, 2/6/2021 another share issue to himself £14 million to write off club debt, is this not a form of cheating to beat ffs.
Gibson transfering money from his haulage company to the football club for which the EFL have done nothing yet surely this is another form of cheating, no excuses from the EFL for they can go way back with Derby

There`s a lot of guess work going on.
The Athletic stated only 3 days ago that it would be 15 in total and Percy then tweeted that it would be 21.
Percy is wrong far more than he is right. Plus he`s a Forest fan so like to stir it a little where we are concerned.
Lets see what happens at next weeks scheduled presser with the Administrators (Thursday I think?)

Yes. MM sort of explained it in his RD farewell. There are maybe 4 categories of clubs
    a the parachute corps
b those who had ambition, cheated and got promotion
c those who didn't show a lot of ambition but who preferred to keep an even keel
d clubs like us, ambitious spending, relatively high gate receipts, did not win promotion
there are not many in d
@BathRam72 makes a fair point, that MM’s management style contributed to us being in d for dunce   But he was also unlucky, and very few on here criticised the ambition when he was splashing the cash

The way I've read this is that the admins know Kirchner or A.N other who are already far down the line to do a deal is a much better option for DCFC than The Kray twins. This is why they've put an unrealistic timeline together for the brothers so it puts them off.
I've got a good feeling about Kirchner or Appleby and will be happy with either, especially if we have this sorted before Christmas.

I don't think a reason has been given, nor has there been any complaint or comment (positive or negative from either party) which would lead me to conclude that both parties have agreed to it (rather than the EFL adjourning it for their own reasons without Derby's agreement). In turn it might be reasonable to conclude from that that discussions with the EFL are reaching a point which make the hearing unnecessary.  Any agreement reached will be a compromise of course so both sides will win, and lose.
God knows that the EFL haven't covered themselves in glory with their processes which have been amateurish at best, equally though I find it very hard to believe that they genuinely want us to go under.  They might want to use us as an example to bring others into line, they might want us punished enough that we go down (which they anticipated the earlier DC would achieve), they might be in thrall to certain of their members and 'run' an incompetent  organisation that really isn't fit for purpose any more, but I struggle to believe that they want us out of business completely. So I would take the adjournment of the hearing, which by definition can be restarted, as the EFL helping to remove some of the obstacles to a quicker deal.
The unacceptable timelines comment is an easy excuse/reason to give.  Maybe they weren't in a real position to proceed.  We would have all been moaning loudly if this had dragged on 6 months to allow the Easdales the time they wanted.
    Who knows though?!

Last season we had 8 points from 15 games. Yet still stayed up. This season we have 18 points from 15, so we are already 10 points ahead of last season at the same stage.  Even with a points deduction our position is not completely impossible .

I agree that the change in amortisation policy was a misjudgement. But it wasn’t completely unreasonable when it coincided with a big investment in new players. If you invest £4million in a 23 year old why would you expect that amount to depreciate by 25% in the First year due to an artificial straight line hit.

of course if that player is Kamil Jozwiak that argument doesn’t look so strong.
the amortisation thing was bad judgement as were the signings that went with it. But I don’t believe it breaks any rules.

I agree, poor administration by Mel and Pearce. they thought they had found a secret formula for FFP, that's why were some what opaque with their explanation to the EFL. They didn't lie about it but could have been clearer and the EFL should have the expertise to have understood what they were doing.

    Quite right.
The fact that the EFL decided to carry on with the league season and the following one forced Derby to trade without the income of fans while also under an embargo imposed by the EFL not least for non payment of tax.
Its been well stated that we fell into the Goldilocks zone for being vulnerable to the effects of COVID and not being allowed the £8m relief was the straw that broke the camels back.
It’s seems reasonable grounds to me.
