It's not just *at* the game though.  You've got people using pubs/restaurants before/after games, fans who live far away maybe staying in hotels on match days, people spending money in Derby shops rather than local ones because there already here for the game.  You've got all the community outreach stuff, employing people to go to schools etc.  You've got pubs showing games when Derby are on TV, shops selling Derby merchandise and so on. The club benefits the local area in a million different ways.

There isn’t a lot in it but I’m more confident in Allsop on crosses and corners. Also he is generally calmer. But if we end up having to play Roos in league 1 then fair enough

Roos was flattered by having defenders like Keogh and Shinnie in front of him.
Alsop has no such defenders and is often the sole bastion betwixt a good save and an apparently soft goal that 'my wife could've saved!'
A goalie's lot is never a happy one but Alsop has done a reliable job in VERY trying circumstances.
Many teams would have lost by a rugby score given a fraction of Rooney's Ramifications. We have a decent GD because we have a decent GK!

Allsop is better in every way. A proper keeper.
Most importantly he is calm in what he does and keeps his defence calm.

If it's Kirchner I'll be annoyed. Not because it's Kirchner, but because he had a bid on the table months ago and had that got sorted at the time we could have avoided a lot of pain in the interim. We could have protected our younger players from the vultures circling and we could have potentially picked up a few free agents to help keep us in the division. Just a whole load of wasted time.

Tomorrow will be the day the ELF are told Tuesday will be the day they say the PB is unacceptable to them!!

I don’t think it’s strange. Sure MM was wreckless and then Covid spoiled his escape route. He was the instigator of our woes. No doubt about that,
 But the EFL ? Supposedly the even handed governing body has kicked us, kicked us again and spat in our faces at every turn. Where were they in the farce that was Boro and Wycombe ? How come we were forced to field kids in a cup game or couldn’t re sign loaned veterans on short term deals. How come when judgements - made according to their own procedures - by their independent panels did they express “regret” or “reluctantly” accept decisions ? Mel made a mess but the EFL wanted to make an example of us and at the same time has been craven and dishonest in submitting to pressure from the likes of Boro. It’s rank hypocrisy and damned nasty 

I see on twitter that chap @ANDY Derby5hire is claiming that "someone" will make a statement later today.
He seems pretty sure. Mind you, he`s seemed pretty sure about a lot of things in the past too?

If, and it’s still a big if that no one will want to buy us (and we still might stay up anyway), why do you think that clubs won’t want us in the league - 1 or 2?
We bring with us good support, and therefore income; the prospect of playing at a well known/big stadium; media and Sky attention - fame and fortune and everything that goes with it.  In short we will be a prize, especially in the lower leagues.  There is no such thing as ‘the football family’ with altruistic views. Chairmen think with their wallets and we will, certainly for the first couple of seasons at least, be box office.  And that’s before the health and safety police start to wonder about the wisdom of our supporters descending upon non league grounds and towns.
But before all that becomes an issue just keep clinging on to the positive thoughts. Keep positive.

I think not being allowed to extend young players contracts is even worse than any 15 penalty. It’s just piling on the penalties for being in admin.

Really don’t get this ‘I am not going to follow DCFC 2022’ (if it happens). I would accept it if anyone was at the first game in 1884, but anyone else is just on some nostalgic and sentimental nosedive imo. 

I feel we need to start asking questions around the administrators and why they aren't able to name a preferencial bidder. I can appreciate that the offers may not be as good as we hoped for but we can only choose between the offers that have been placed. Surley that doesn't take this long?
